Pump Running While Connected to Wall Connector

All - Based on the info that I read in this Blog (many thanks for that info), a few days ago I lowered my 2015 S 85D charge limit from 206 miles down to 182 miles. Walla!! The constant coolant pump operation stopped. They only ran when the car was charging, and didn't run on after the charge...

Pump Running While Connected to Wall Connector

I have been concerned about the two coolant pumps running more or less 24/7 in my 2015 S 85D as well. I have removed the frunk liner so I could monitor them more closely. Indy SC was no help when I had it in for them to check, saying that I had to zero in on the component mysekf first. I have...

Pondering new tires for 2015 MS 85D

Tire update - yes I did put the Vredesteins on my '15 S 85D, 19" tires, this spring. I've put about 2K miles on since, and am happy with them. They are very quiet on asphalt roads, but do have tire noise on concrete. I'd love to find a tire that didn't whir on those roads. Traction and...

Pondering new tires for 2015 MS 85D

Fabulous. I could sure use some curb rash protection, as I seem to have to repair such every year. That alone is a big selling point for me.

Pondering new tires for 2015 MS 85D

Yep - I run XIce's in the winter, and switch to summer tires late spring. Both with their own set of Tesla 19" cast wheels.

Pondering new tires for 2015 MS 85D

I am still running on my set of XIces right now, so I haven't bought the new summer'ish tires yet. (The All-Season rating will give me a wide temp range of use.) But, I am getting close to doing so. I think I'll call Tire Rack and see what their GURU has to say in addition to what I get off...

Pondering new tires for 2015 MS 85D

I am about to need new all season tires for our Model S. Looking at Tire rack's site, they are touting Vredestein Quatrac Pro tires as my best bet. Has anyone tried those?

Is this normal, or an unusual amount of issues for a 3 week old car?

Possible rattle source. We had a right rear rattle in our 2015 85D that was traced to a faulty air shock. This is a known issue. If your car has the air leveling package, try kicking or hammering on the sidewall of the tire closest to the perceived rattle. See if that duplicates it. The SC...

Power Folding Mirror Failure (or User Error)

My 2015 S85D had a wind noise in the right rear door. Now fixed. Indy Service Ctr had to take the door apart in order to reangle the glass so it met the rubber seal snuggly at all edges. That fixed things for me.

    Extra UMC vs. HPWC?

Anyone concerned about cable temps? I noticed that the UMC cable on my 50 amp circuit (limited to 40 amps charging) got quite hot during charging. So, I reduced my charge rate to 30 amps (still plenty to re-up the battery overnight) and the cable was only slightly warm then. Being a chemical...

Front seat belts rub against neck - very bothersome

Other seatbelt options. Thanks to all for your suggestions. I have ordered these seatbelt clamps, though I realize that using them will compromise the crash performance. But, the 'cutting into our necks' issue is significant enuf for us to try this as a remedy. - - - Updated - - - Oooops -...

Front seat belts rub against neck - very bothersome

We have a new Model S 85D with only 250 miles on it. When the front seats are adjusted for the best positions, the edge of both the driver and passenger seat belts rub firmly against our necks. This is going to be a problem on anything but very short trips. Does anyone have any suggestions...
