    Upgraded yacht floor

Tesla offers it as a separate accessory: Tesla Premium Front Console - There are also 3rd party versions. I have it, and don't see how I could do without it. the existing cup holders are useless, and I like keeping stuff in the covered area.

85 y/o man died in his Tesla after he drove into a pool.

We're talking reflex, not planned behavior. You sitting in your car w foot on brake and it starts moving, I guarentee your body will press harder before you can process anything. Simialry, if you arn't slowing down as fast as you want to be you'll press harder. It's not some absurd reflex...

85 y/o man died in his Tesla after he drove into a pool.

I have some insight in the brake/accel pedal mixup thing. I've done it once before in my Tesla, and i'm not elderly (41). Fortunately, there was nothing but yard in front of me... but it was scary. What I think people don't realize is the exact process which happens, and why these accidents can...

Tesla recalls entire Model S fleet for seat belts

Can someone describe more in detail which part of the seat belt we are talking about? Is it the piece that is anchored near the door? Is that where you need to test?

Auto Parallel Parking feature working for anyone?

I was one where the parallel park wouldn't trigger no matter what. I downloaded the 7.0 update the first day. Finally today it started working, and worked well. Managed to have the P appear on multiple spots. Successfully auto-parked into one of them. Didn't do anything different than...

Auto Parallel Parking feature working for anyone?

Very nice videos. The last one handled about as small a space as I can do.

Competions "Auto Steer" or Active Lane Assist - videos

It would be nice if Tesla also implemented active lane-keeping assist. Right now, if you are driving normally and drift out of lane, you get a steering wheel buzz, but no active measures to keep the car in the lane.

Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

You may be right. I guess I was remembering the speculation around this video that got circulated which looked like active lane assist: This Tesla Model X won't run off the road

Autopilot lane keeping still not available over 6 months after delivery

Has there been any discussion about the lack of "active lane assist" vs autopilot? Autopilot is great... but I thought we were also expecting "active lane assist", in your normal day to day driving, if you drift out of lane, it will steer you back. It seems we still have the buzzing alert, but...

Journalists Trespass, Assault Tesla employees at the Gigafactory

According to the newspaper article, "a rock had been used to shatter the driver’s-side window and the driver’s-side seat belt had been cut in half." So, ya, I can imagine a number of scenarios that you'd fear for your life with those variables in the mix. Again, I'm not defending the...

Journalists Trespass, Assault Tesla employees at the Gigafactory

Tesla's account is certainly omitting a lot of context. It defies plausibility that it took place like Tesla wrote without any other context. That's not to say the journalists were in the right.... but I also don't think they are likely cold-hearted people that ran over security guards for the...

Long time lurker, Just placed an order for a 90D!

Are you sure you saw the right blue? The old blue used to be really dark -- almost black. This new blue is not that. It's really blue.

For Model 3 LTE/3g and free SC have to go

I'm a relatively new Tesla owner... The Model 3 will have to support the Supercharger network and I'd bet it's simply an add-on charge of $2500 or similar, like the Model S 60kW. I really don't see Tesla implementing regional supercharger blockades, or start charging per minute, etc. The...

    MS reading your Text messages?

Go to Waze, bottom left button, Gear, Sound, "Prefer Bluetooth". After switching this on, it worked as you described in my Tesla from my iPhone 6. Even when playing Tesla audio (slacker, fm), the iPhone Waze app will interrupt with alerts. It acts like a phone call briefly.

    autopilot or no autopilot

If you're on the fence, it's easy to not get it, since you can pay for it later easily. That said, I just got a 85D and the TACC has been really good. I still take over when there's sudden stopping, but I haven't seen it make a big mistake yet -- and I'm not worried in daily usage.

Super high spike in energy usage - bug?

ah. ok. I guess I hadn't been that slow traffic before, and thought slow traffic would be super low energy. But over distance makes sense. thanks, false alarm.

Super high spike in energy usage - bug?

I took delivery of an 85D Tesla this week, and ran into a weird situation while driving home tonight. I was in very slow crawling traffic due to a sobriety checkpoint. During this very slow driving, the energy usage spiked on the Tesla. Way off the chart. (I don't think I can post links yet...
