I got lucky. The dents didn't damage the paint, so they were able to pop them out and buff it up. Came out perfectly. Took one day.

I am happy to report that the tire shop followed through, and paid for the repair without issue. They handled the situation professionally from beginning to end. The battle scars are gone (thank you Hollis Autobody) and proper tire installed. Good as new!

Greatest Tesla moment ever... My 13 year old son said to me "Porsches are no longer cool". And he doesn't even know about the P100D. I love that boy!

POLL: Do you carry a spare tire in your Model S?

I refer you to this thread: Roadtrip Niagara & Telsa Lifestyle I didn't have a spare or slime kit then, but will for future road trips.

@cranker2k my previous car was a 535 msport, with low profile Runflats. They felt like I was riding on bricks, and were unforgiving with potholes. You so much as looked at a pothole, and wham - tire compromised. Sure you could ride on them for a while, but they shouldn't have been so fragile...

Thanks Alan. I was sweating bullets there. The tow truck driver was the real hero, he hung in there with me, hoping from one to the next and making calls to find a shop, all while calls were coming in for another tow. I even asked him if towing me to Niagara Canada was a possibility, and he...

Thanks. I was able to compartmentalize the incident, so apart from that we had a great trip. Do you bring a spare tire as well? Problem with family road trips is luggage. Seems a spare tire would occupy a lot of the space.

Speaking of Summon. Forgot to mention, as I was demoing the car to everybody that approached me at the wiffle ball tourney, I just had to show off summon. Be honest: is SCing on a long trip annoying?

My wife and I went on our first long range trip to Portland Maine and back. 130 miles each way. We could have made it round trip without a charge, but wanted to play it safe, so we stopped at the supercharger in seabrook on the way up. I knew in advance the supercharger location resided in a...

EZ-Pass transponder mounting on refreshed nosecone-less Model S

The status lights at the booth will be inaccurate. I get a green light half the time as well. However, when checking the transaction log at the EZPass service center, it worked 100%. The day I got my MS, I went to the Natick EZpass center (eastbound), and swapped-out my old transponder...

Interior pic request - gray w/ Next Gen seats

I have gray/black/carbon interior, with midnight silver exterior. Love the contrast! Do it! Black interiors, to me, are claustrophobic. As for seats turning blue... my MS is new, so nothing yet. Dedham Store swamped with new Teslas!

Dedham has been open for what a year? And they've already out grown the place. Good problem to have. When I went to pick-up my MS, we had difficultly finding a place to park. I had to ICE one of the superchargers (apologies - but not my fault).
