can you give more detail on how you get to the bolt on liftgate side? my passenger side liftgate is sitting lower than it should. i don't see a way to get the tool in without removing the glass. any guidance will be greatly appreciated.

I ordered on 10/20 and checked Daily for inventory match, finally found one that is in transit to socal with exact match. Called the advisor to lock it in and took delivery today. For those dont want to wait, suggest you to check inventory daily. New one pops up everyday.

thank you for the info. since i tap the power from liftgate connector and they need that connector to power original liftgate module they had to disconnect it which is why they said aftermarket won't work with upgrade. i made a wire harness to bridge the power to both liftgate module and it's...

Thank you for the info. I tap the power from original liftgate connector. Wonder maybe that is the reason they said my aftermarket won’t work since they must use that connector for their module. I’ll find out when I get the car back next week. Thanks again!

Did they install liftgate control module when they upgrade yours? Where did you tap the power for 12V? Thank you.

Did anyone with aftermarket power liftgate got MCU2 upgrade? SC told me upgrade requires Tesla power liftgate control module and the aftermarket one will no longer work after install. Anybody have any experience on this? Thanks.

most likely they will not do it since it's a used part. even if they do it will be an arm or leg. you are better off install it on your own.

it has been too long. i remember what they put on it is 1 hour labor for activation of customer installed fog light

it can be done. SC charged me 1 hour labor to activate it. it was actually very easy. all they do is connect the laptop to the service port and change the option menu. that was almost 4 years ago. with how busy they are now you will have to be persistent to push them into doing it.

yeah, i've had OTA before. that's why i am quite surprised. looks like there is another OTA coming soon. i will cross my finger to see to if that stays.

so strangest thing just happened. got OTA update couple days ago and last night when I was driving i suddenly realized my cornering light starts to work. apparently it's all in the software. all wiring is there. now i am a happy camper.
