    Cant sign in APP! (error)

I used my old phone as a key for the last week and tried logging into the app on my newer (iOS 12) phone occasionally. I tried again today, and to my great excitement, was able to log in once again. 😄 Hallelujah, and I mean it! So nice to not have to use the key card all the time.

    Cant sign in APP! (error)

This might be the problem I'm having. My iPhone is running iOS 12, and can't run the new Tesla app with the overhauled UI (requires 13/14 or later). The last version of the old app was working fine for me, no complaints, until it booted me out last week. My old phone and my iPad (iOS 10) are...

This sounds like the Wild West cutting-edge Roadster days still. :( Hard to tell your tone in text, but I'm glad you're still hanging on haha. You must have one of the earlier Model Xes in Canada, but it's hard to excuse continued teething pains even in an "early" vehicle as Tesla has grown up a...

Interesting. Those parts don't sound all that complicated, I'd like to get the inside scoop on what failed and why. Was suspension covered by a recall? This seems to be a common issue.

    Suggestions for V11 Rework/Improvements

What I like about v11: Blind spot camera on turn signal North-up indicator moved closer to the driver What I liked about v10: Dock icon design befitting a $60k+ vehicle. Clean, tidy, and a little subtly fun at times like the ye olde telephone. Mainly, any icons that that don't look like they...

Okay so somebody decided a thread I'd replied to was irrelevant, and deleted it. I put a lot of effort into the post I made. Any way to get it back?

Wait so was the battery issue with the loaner, or your vehicle, or both? Far too many issues regardless, at this point if Tesla has no idea what’s wrong, they kinda need to start swapping parts aggressively until the issues go away.

    2021.32.x

I've been looking everywhere for an answer to this question, but I haven't been able to find one. Does anybody with 2021.32.10 or later drive with the cabin camera obscured? Does AP work and does the car complain at all?

Canada Model S Plaid and LR orders and deliveries!

I don't want to distract from all the delivery excitement over here, but the luxury tax was a hot topic in this thread a month or two ago. The gov is accepting feedback until September 30. I sent them an email, and if you don't mind my saying so, you should too...

    Tesla moments

Here's a Tesla moment for y'all. At the end of the day, I backed my car into the garage and was unloading the contents of the trunk. It was a nice evening, so a few people were out walking in the neighbourhood. One little girl, who must have been about 5, was riding her tiny bike ahead of her...

    The Tesla Wave!

I always wave when I notice another Tesla driver in time. It's great fun haha! I find I get more reply-waves from 3/Y owners, and fewer from S/X owners. Does that mean the Edmonton service centre is up and running? Last I heard there were rumours of it going in the old Infiniti building.

    Premium Connectivity in Canada

Sorry, I'm not trying to rub it in, and I'm late to the party, but I feel like I'm missing something. It sounds like nobody knows how this "limited population of owners" was selected? As a recipient (purchase June 2019), I'm grateful of course, but hearing from fellow owners who mysteriously...

This is the car that started it all! (No offence to Roadster peeps, but it wasn't really mass-produced.) Which Sig number did you have, if you don't mind my asking? According to my electricity bill this month, the fixed distribution charges made up $50 of my $75 bill. How do you get away with...

Off the grid? In the city? What on Earth?! That is sooo cool! Sounds like you have a grid connection if you want it though. How does that work? I bet you have to pay the usual service fees for that, which would ruin the payback time. That is the dream though! House and car unplugged...

    Tesla Owners in Alberta

That is terrible. Is it okay to ask if they were in a Tesla vehicle at the time? As an apartment dweller, things can be tricky especially in colder weather. I was fortunate enough to be able to borrow a friend's garage for the -30 snap and didn't have to drive anywhere that week (would have...

Tesla Mud Flaps / Paint Protection Kit

Great photos, your garage has much better light and is way cleaner than the spot I chose to do the install! For those of you who are concerned about effort to install, yes, it takes some time to do the first gen kit. If Tesla gives you a second-gen kit (push clips instead of bolts)...

Tesla Mud Flaps / Paint Protection Kit

I didn't ask. If it really is $30 for the install as @shayshay says, I … still would have done it myself. It was kinda fun working on my car! Also, I found a missing clip while I was under there, which is cause for concern. About to follow up with Tesla about that. There's no drilling required...

Tesla Mud Flaps / Paint Protection Kit

Haha yeah, it wasn't quite as simple as I expected. It's not difficult though, just time-consuming. At least it has the Official Blessing of Tesla and is supposed to save my paint. :) Elsewhere on here I read about some kinds of 3rd-party mud flaps that crack or break, so the Amazon world is...

Merry Christmas, and happy new year, Albertan Tesla folks! I'm seeing so many Teslas out and about these days, but they're never using the plugs I need. It's great! :p Just wanted to mention three things: Did anybody notice that the TCH is fully Superchargered? So exciting! According to my...

Tesla Mud Flaps / Paint Protection Kit

Tesla’s mud flaps are available free of charge as a DIY kit. News to you? I happened across an article on Electrek—that's the only reason I know. Tesla didn't reach out to tell me. (Just the facts, not implying anything.) Here's the finished product: Apparently Tesla will install them for you...

    Supercharger - Moose Jaw, SK

Yes! :D This is amazing! I’ll forgive the TCH delay because we get better Superchargers in exchange for being patient since 2012. I guess I shouldn’t speak for the Saskatchewaners though. Somebody please keep us posted on when it’s live …

So Why Does the 12V Battery Die?

The 12V battery in all of Tesla’s vehicles is a lead-acid battery, similar to the ones in ICE vehicles. They’re not quite the same as ICE lead-acid batteries as they’re optimized for cycle life, not cranking amps, so that’s why Tesla says not to try boosting an ICE car with a Tesla. Turning off...

Emergency mobile charging via Prius (test)

That’s too cool! Where’d you get the idea to combine a UPS with your Prius in the first place? I’m not very familiar with the Prius battery. What’s its chemistry and nominal voltage? I assume the voltage handily falls within the spec for the UPS, which made this a no-brainer.

    Tesla moments

After a weekend of snow (just a weekend; it all melted again) and about 150 km of driving last week, my Model 3 was looking more grey than blue. The wand wash bay was occupied, but I was first in line, and a pickup pulled up behind me. For several minutes I enjoyed the beats, but as it became...

    Supercharger - Moose Jaw, SK

Any idea how much Petro Canada will charge for fast charging? They just completed one of these two-stall stations in Canmore. I hope they won't randomly hike prices weekly like they do for other types of fuels.

'Tis true, waiting does make it sweeter. The first several days were surreal. Hey folks, I have some news: eight years in the making and three years properly waited for. Recommended Workplace Chargers?

I second that. I've heard nothing but good things about Clipper Creek and Sun Country EVSEs if you're looking for a specific brand to go with. In my humble opinion, if I was installing chargers with the intent of allowing public access, I would avoid charging networks like ChargePoint because...

    Tesla Owners in Alberta

Thank you! That's what we're looking for. I can't imagine that behaviour was intentionally designed … … because I don't, and given the problem in California that led to Sentry Mode in the first place, I doubt many Tesla owners would trust their fellow man with their UMCs either.

I've got a question for you Model 3 owners. For context, my parents got a 3 and they've had it for about three months now.* They keep asking me things about it (is this normal? Should that happen?) like I'm some kind of expert or something. I keep reminding them I don't have the car yet so...

Bought or sold a used Model 3?

You know those ads for used Model 3s that make it obvious that the owner is trying to sell it “at cost,” recovering every penny it was bought for? That made more sense when Tesla was highly production constrained, but now I’m wondering if this pricing is still on point—especially considering...

    The BUGS! AAARGH!

I wish I could complain about cleaning bugs off my Model 3! Poll for Model 3 owners: Vampire drain rates?

It would be cool to see a breakdown of what energy has been used for, similar to the Battery page in Settings on iOS. There you can see the Home and Lock screen used 2%, Safari used 35%, and Mail used 5% and was in the background for a few minutes. So Tesla could say, of the energy not used for...

Where's the list of features added via OTA update?

Somewhere on the forums, I recall somebody compiled a list of features and functions the Model S has gained over the years via software updates. I've searched high and low and haven't found it. If you know where it is, can you reply with a link? Thanks!

I'll never forget that one time I went for a ride with @Footbag when there was a skiff of snow on the ground. The car didn't often pick up the line on the right side of the road (it was obscured), but it managed pretty well with what it could see of the centre line. I was impressed because I...
