Recover deleted post?

Okay so somebody decided a thread I'd replied to was irrelevant, and deleted it. I put a lot of effort into the post I made. Any way to get it back?

Bingo. I think you knew the answer before you posted the question. Just trying to help out for any future posts.

Sometimes the moderators move and combine threads, so the thread might still be around. Check your notifications for any hints as to what happened.

There isnt any way for a regular user to do this that I am aware of, but moderators can see deleted posts in their respective areas. I believe I know the post you are talking about, and it was a post in a thread that was deleted, if its the one I am thinking of. I will copy the text and send it to you via PM so that you can re post it in a different thread if you want to do that.
