My car was totaled because upper frame got damaged as well because of the impact. I saw at least one other X with similar damage at the repair shop which got totaled as well.

I replaced it with a used X, can't imagine driving anything else. My wife came out of the accident practically unharmed. X is such a safe car.

My X was totaled after getting rear ended by a chevy truck on freeway.

When my X totaled, State farm initially issued a check for $25,000 based on the initial estimate (the check was mailed to me). When detailed estimate was done, repair cost went above $80,000 and the car was totaled. The initial check that was issued was never used and returned back.

Vroom is VC backed online used car retailer. I have never used them, but they may offer a better deal than a used car dealer. When my Model X was totaled, Geico pulled up a comp for total loss value of a car sold by Vroom and it was 5-6K less than other comps.
