apparently both the 5 & 7 seat arrangements can fold flat (it’s the 6 seater that can’t), but I haven’t spoke to anyone who has actually camped in an X, so this is all second hand information. I will go to my nearest Tesla shop and have a proper look.

Don’t see the point in the 6 seat set up - too compromising. Probably go for the 7 seats over the 5 seats then, even if we probably will use the 3rd row only once in a blue moon, if ever!

Mr Musk is technically literate. When running an engineering company, that is of huge importance. In China it is possible to succeed in the internet arena without been technically savvy, and only being business savvy. That is why I wouldn't sweat all the Chinese entrants.

Living in the UK, there is a lot of -ve press about Tesla in the UK. I assumed that the -ve press was universal across all geographies. I often read apple news, and I sometimes wonder whether that is rigged to be anti tesla!

Not a Tesla owner yet, but I thought that the warranty holds even if you don't service using Tesla. However if you bought using tesla finance, then getting the guaranteed minimum price at the end of the finance requires you to use Tesla servicing. Dan

I'm not buying a car that updates itself from downloads unless it is from a company that has Internet security in its DNA. This is why I will probably buy a tesla, rather than some other ev. Look at the mess that Sony got itself into with Internet security in consumer electronics.

Assuming you don't want to know about energy density: Power train people talk about power density. Ie how big the prime mover (electric motor or ice) is relative to its power rating. Pretty meaningless to measure the power density of the entire vehicle thoug.
