Only one issue with short-term lease: they are fixed-term and not flexible.

Me too, though it's only an entry-level 70D. Next time, I will definitely just lease it, and choose 2-years lease if possible. Tesla is struggling to sell their expensive models before Model 3, so they have to please and attract new customers...
