app seems to be buggy for me. the 1st uninstall/reinstall of the Tesla app didn't fix anything last week. I then let tesla know via the service tab on the app, and on Friday PM they pushed the same software update i currently have. climate controls came back...then they disappeared, yet...

the same (current) firmware update is what tesla pushed out to me. 2024.8.9. installed it and all is good. but it was ok all day too whenever i checked the car thru the app. so...hope it all sticks! dunno what the deal was.

2024.8.9 is currently installed. release notes don't say what will be installed. should it say somewhere?

Tesla service has pushed "a firmware update" to my car. will install that this evening when on my home wifi. i'll post any follow-up. currently the climate section of the app is working flawlessly. for now.

ha. so i just requested service for this glitch. tesla replied with "do you want a tire rotation, too?". i said no...and the app now shows the climate controls. WTH? just bizarre. random. weird. i don't know what to think as far as troubleshooting this bug. wow.

well, now re-booting the car changes nothing with this annoying glitch. <sigh>

Wow, things change in 4 years! i used to charge here in my lowly Leaf. and the single "fast" Charger would overheat in the summer and be off line forever. this was due to grass being mowed and piled up near the base where fans were used to cool things. It's stunning how far ahead Tesla is...
