Not receiving loyalty credits and Tesla is telling me to kick rocks

Thanks for that clarification. I do see B with the price discount of ~$2600. Line C shows N/A and $0. I guess they didn’t apply it for some reason.

It’s showing as nothing. When I look back at previous programs, it does show my referral from 2018.

Not receiving loyalty credits and Tesla is telling me to kick rocks

I'm in the boat where I'm not seeing my Loyalty credits. We bought an inventory Tesla in December 2023, but nothing is showing in my account. I used my same Tesla account to purchase. My SA said he would check on it, but I have heard crickets in 2 weeks. I just emailed him again to check in on...

    Supercharger - Blacksburg, VA

I just noticed this supercharger was removed from Tesla’s updated maps today. That would be very strange if they’ve already received permit approval. Construction on the Sheetz hasn’t started yet.

How low are you comfortable going on range estimator on a trip?

My general rule is to have a 20% buffer to account for weather (rain, temperature, wind), higher speed, or terrain. That was mostly when I was driving my older 2013 Model S. If navigation showed 100 miles to charger, I wanted 120. If it showed 50, I wanted 60. I would arrive at some chargers...

2013 Tesla Model S 85kWh For Sale (MCU2 Upgrade, LTE)

Thank you for the kind words. I try my best to take care everything. Garage kept helps! This car will still get up to about 120kW (~350 miles/hr) on a supercharge when it's below 20%. It will trail off and settle into 65-80kW range (150-200 miles/hr)

2013 Tesla Model S 85kWh For Sale (MCU2 Upgrade, LTE)

I’m selling my 2013 Tesla Model S 85. I just took delivery of a new 2022 Model Y Long Range! I originally purchased Certified Pre Owned (CPO) from Tesla in 2016 (second owner). Clean title in hand. No accidents. Still drives just like the day I bought it. Transferrable Free Unlimited...

Any word on the Virginia EV rebate?

I'm wondering the same. I remember when it passed last year, but I did understand it wasn't funded. It shouldn't need to be funded until 2023, when folks are filing their 2022 taxes. Hopefully the VA legislature and new governor honor their previous commitment and add it to the two year budget...

Best Virginia Residential Electric Plan for Tesla?

I thought Dominion already had a TOU (Time of Use) plan? Maybe they are just relaunching it as something different? Before I moved, I had 2 smart meters for the Schedule EV plan, with an option to also join the Home + EV plan. That was a pilot program that ended in 2018.

Help from experienced model S owners

I've owned a 2013 Model S 85 for 4.5 years (purchased in early 2016). I've driven it over 70k miles in that time and it now has 107k miles. I purchased it CPO from Tesla in Chicago. I can say that it's been the best car I've owned, hands down. It still has its own challenges with maintenance...

Customize center info part on dash Model S 2013?

Unfortunately you can't change anything in the center of the binnacle other than miles to kilometers. You can only change what's displayed on either side using the scroll wheels. I too have a 2013 MS85.

H&R Block 2019 missing form 8911, again (EV Charger Credit)

New update from H&R Block today on Form 8911 (software updated today): Via chat: Thank you so much for holding. Seen the program was not giving the answer I was looking for, I ask one of my advisor. Apparently the Form is only available for Business, they do not supported in on the regular...

H&R Block 2019 missing form 8911, again (EV Charger Credit)

I just chatted with them again and specifically asked if it would be available for personal tax use in the next update (3/5). She said yes and confirmed the next update. I'll hold until 3/6 hoping it comes out by then.

H&R Block 2019 missing form 8911, again (EV Charger Credit)

I think I will next year. I bought it because it was half the cost for my business (LLC) and personal taxes, but I didn't like the software itself. Already filed the business taxes, so just need to get through it for personal and will consider switching back for 2020 taxes.

H&R Block 2019 missing form 8911, again (EV Charger Credit)

I spoke to H&R Block over their chat feature about form 8911, right after the previous software/form update on 2/14. The lady had to check on things for several minutes, but she said the form wasn't fully ready from the IRS and they expect it to be loaded in the 3/5 update of the software. I'm...

Bubble formed on screen ... :(

This issue popped up in my car (Early 2013 MS) just 2 weeks ago. It was very hot here in D.C. and the car was sitting outside a lot of the time while we moved. My car is Out of Warranty, by about 6 months (CPO warranty to 84k miles). The Mobile Service Center is estimating a screen replacement...

No Virginia Referral Bonus' (or, "Another Reason Auto Dealers Suck")

I was just able to choose my first award for a wall charger from a referral delivery in June. Status says "available June 2018" for the wall charger. I too thought I wasn't able to receive anything being a VA resident, which is why it wasn't showing up. I'm curious to see if the prize will...

    100,000+ Mile Club

I haven't had it done myself, but in speaking to one of the mobile service technicians at a supercharger, he said it takes a couple of hours for him to change out an MCU. Most of the time is loading the software from their service laptop. I would think that might be the biggest hiccup for a...

Seriously, what's the deal with text message integration?

I used the feature recently in my wife's new honda with apple carplay. It was convenient to hear and respond to the text messages without touching the phone and taking my eyes off the road. I agree you should be paying attention to driving! I see plenty of horrible drivers out there swerving on...

    What's Supercharging and Support Worth?

I agree completely. I take a semi-regular trip to my home town that is a ~260 mile drive, but through some mountains. It's past what my MS85 can handle on a single charge, and any other EV out there too for that matter, especially in the winter. (Unless I stay below 50 mph, maybe...). I make...

Do you carry your EVSE in the car?

I've driven my MS85 40K+ miles in a little over 2 years. I regularly travel 100+ miles for work daily. I only bring my UMC with me on a planned trip of more than 200 miles or so. I've never needed it otherwise. I use the UMC at home as my primary charger. As folks have said, the supercharger...

    Being led astray by TurboTax?

It’s a trap! The same thing happened to me on my CPO last year. TurboTax gave bad guidance in regards to that. You’re not eligible, as you suspect. I think the HPWC and related expenses to EV charging are at the state level. I received those deductions in Virginia, but not on my federal.

    Nothern Virginia Electrician Cost

I paid about $350 to have the 50amp circuit installed 2 years ago. It was a long run, the length of the house. The wire is a big cost ($1.25-$2 per foot) I used a family friend, so that was a little cheaper. I would ballpark $500, depending on the distance and trouble. I also had the Dominion...

I had this feature on my 2010 Acura TL. I liked it for storing essential items that can be reached by passengers, but out of the way. The Ski thing makes sense too.

    Loaner Vehicle During Maintenance

That's the case for me in Northern Virginia (Tyco Road). I've had my car in for warranty service a couple of times. LTE service free only for 4 years

That makes sense. I have a 2013 S85. I think the manufacture date was March or April. So mine is 4 years old, but only 1 year for me (CPO)

LTE service free only for 4 years

I agree I wouldn't want to pay for "Tesla's Data". Also remember, AT&T (as well as VZ) allow companies to zero rate their data. Meaning the company can pay for the data without it going against the customer's data cap. So that could be an option for Tesla if in fact they do force consumers to...

Best Virginia Residential Electric Plan for Tesla?

I too hope to hear something about an updated or extended plan. I'm on the EV only plan with a second meter (Schedule 1EV). I had it installed in April of 2016. The meter swap took about 5 minutes after the 2nd meter base was installed. The dominion tech just pulled one out and pushed the new...

    Hardware updates?

I saw that as well. I too am very curious. I don't think it would be possible to upgrade from AP1 to AP2 because the wiring harnesses probably aren't there for the extra cameras. I have a pre-AP MS, I would love to see possibly folding mirrors, or center console? I don't know how that could be...

Annual Service on a CPO Model S

I agree I don't want to be doing this type of service myself. It sounds like they wouldn't have changed the fluid as part of the CPO refurbish and is required at this time. You're right that it was most likely all cosmetic improvements when it was traded in. I guess the Coolant flush costs that...

Annual Service on a CPO Model S

Hi Folks, I didn't see anything that matched my question exactly, so here I am posting about it. I've owned my 2013 CPO S85 for just under a year. I couldn't be happier. I picked it up with 35k miles, now I have ~51k miles. I've had it in for service twice for warranty items and I'm taking my...

    N. Virginia Owners - Does a D matter or is RWD ok?

@Lee_B I have a S85 RWD Classic (Pre-AP). I've owned it just less than a year (CPO from Tesla). This last week was the first time I was able to try it in the snow/ice with the 2" snow storm we had. I can say the car did very well in the snow covered roads in my neighborhood with some small...

    Dominion EV charging plans

Hi Folks! I too am in NOVA and am under the EV Only Pricing Plan. The way Dominion advised me was to install the meters is in serial, meaning I run from my breaker panel (50amp), to the second meter, then to the NEMA 14-50 (I wish I had run 100amp service for the HPWC). Has anyone else had any...

Charging: Reported consumption vs. meter reading

Thanks for the comments so far, very helpful! I did a little more research as you suggested. First, I took two pictures and verified the readings on the meters. 2277kWh on the EV meter, and 7373kWh on the whole house meter. They started at 000000 on or about 3/29/16. If I've only been charged...

Charging: Reported consumption vs. meter reading

I've noticed something interesting over the past couple of months. When I took delivery of my Model S85 I had a 14-50 outlet installed in the garage.Within a month, I had my power company, Dominion Power here in Northern Virginia, install a second meter to take advantage of the EV off-peak...
