Well this is a random place to meet 🤣

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Depends how bad people want an EV. There's nothing else you could buy right now that would get delivered before the end of the year, unless you buy second hand

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

So, I called Tesla (for a different reason, but brought up the delay to try and see if they had any info) and they told me that they had some reservations that were delayed that they were contacting people about but that my reservation specifically didn't have any indication of a delay as yet...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

So, I happened to order a 3 yesterday a few hours before it from from 14-20 weeks -> 5-7 months and the estimate has disappeared altogether from the app and my account. So, should be interesting to see what happens

Getting 118kW charging on my ancient S75D !

Definitely looks like they charged the charging curve, I peaked at 121kw on a 75D Model X over the weekend:

    Superchargers in Australia

There are some places in the US where Tesla is not allowed by law to charge a flat rate per kwh (because only a utility company is allowed to do that or something) and has to charge per minute. None of that applies to the Australian superchargers

    Non-Performance Uncorked Acceleration

Tesla updated the S and X in mid 2017 with new bits that made the car go from an ~6sec 0-100 to 4.9sec. Cars built close to the time they did the switch could go and get the new bits put on for free. That just means your car had that done, or more likely, had the performance upgrade from the...

Infotainmente/MCU Upgrade Confirmed (US only for now)

Pro tip, if you add '?redirect=no' to the end of any tesla.com URL, it won't do the automatic-geographic-redirect thing

    Supercharger - Camberwell, Vic

5 stalls? That's a bit strange for a supercharger site, right?

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

My Model X is still on 2019.40.2. It's been showing school zones for a while now, at least in my area. They're part of the map data, it's still not reading signs.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Wait - do I see summon with key fob on those notes? No more fighting with my phone's Bluetooth to make summon work?

    Model 3 Charging in Australia

When I got my Model X, Tesla sent the HPWC to me while the car was being built/shipped over, so I had plenty of time to organise a sparky to install it before the car turned up.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

They're talking about AC chargers. The top part of the CCS2 plug is a Type 2 socket, and the Model S & X use a modified Type 2 plug, so all those chargers would work anyway

    NRMA fast charging network

You'd need the opposite of that. That connects CCS1 cars to CCS2 chargers

    Daylesford - King’s Cottage

There's a 20A and 25A setting on the 3 phase charger (even if it's only wired for single phase). I'm in the same boat (32A fuse) and have it set to 25A

    No 3G connectivity today

Not exactly, it's intermittent. My car was fine today, but other Telstra M2M stuff we have at work is borked

    Superchargers in Australia

Ironically, the when it was a BMW dealership it was one of the only ones with a Chargepoint station for their i3s.

Vector maps for AU/NZ? Anyone got the yet?

Can confirm it's rolling out for Aussies too. Mine updated last night. Just a note that you don't get any sort of update notification via the app like you do for a software update. It seems to download separately and install by itself. Street names pop up in a little chat-bubble type thing and...

    Alcantara still being used?

Yes, they are. I just picked up my X today with premium black interior (but no pup). Still has Alcantara like material for the headliner. My car is RHD, it was built early Jan but only just made it over to Australia

    CCS Charging truth?

Not that it can charge at 100kW. It gets to like 70:

    CCS Charging truth?

Well, first off, CSS is Cascading Style Sheets. It's what makes websites look pretty (or not pretty) :P CCS is a set of charging standards, not a battery technology. It's not better or worse than what Tesla uses. Just different. As far was the Jag goes, everything I've seen from the I-Pace so...

    Model 3 Wait

It shows "Early 2019" for my reservation. You guys drive on the wrong side of the road still, so you'll get them sooner. I'd be surprised if Australia sees them before July 2019 to be honest.
