You were not the one I was referencing. I forget who it was, but they were also in the Rochester area. They sent mine to Pittsburg PA because that is the "local" SC that services our area.

Sounds similar to my situation, except I was invited/configured on 4/10. Got VIN on 5/14, lost it on 5/15 for White/Aero. Still waiting for a new VIN.

I lost my VIN last week due to them shipping the car to the wrong SC. I tried to remove it from the spreadsheet but it wouldn't let me blank out the date.

The VIN was gone before that change to the website and I still do not have a VIN (even with that method to check it). Also the Edit link is still present, which supposedly disappears if you have a VIN assigned.

If their current "estimates" are right, they plan on being at 5K per week by the end of March, not 5K total for all of March. If that happens then your numbers are small and there may be enough to hit it by the end of Q1.

Not having a semi-close service center is about my biggest concern for my Model 3 reservation. My coworker has a Model S, but he has the unlimited ranger service as well. So for now it's not an issue for him, but he knows it will be a problem. I was hoping maybe they had something in the works...

I think Tesla had at one point adjusted how the wipers work to keep them far enough up to prevent freezing. Their normal "down" position is below the interior, which is why they had a problem with them freezing in the first place.

Keep in mind that if you drive in freezing weather, the heated wipers are useful because there is no ICE under the hood creating heat to help them stay warm & prevent freezing. I wouldn't say it's needed, but I'm definitely getting it (live in western NY).

If it wasn't for supercharging (or some other reliable long distance charging network) I would consider a bolt. I prefer the hatchback styling (even if it's not the prettiest hatchback). So none of your options offer my opinion.

Is it possible you incorrectly typed in your email? that would explain both. I've heard of that happening to some people and I believe they were able to get it sorted out by calling Tesla (not sure what number or anything, sorry)

It could be that the HUD simply isn't ready yet and that's why they're hiring people with experience in that field. They have a little while to get it all sorted. That said, I'm not sure that I believe it will have a HUD. I think it will have other types of feedback to help assist the driver...
