I went with the carbon fiber only because I thought it would be less likely to have issues. Issues being delamination of veneering, warping, clear coat bubbling etc...... These may not be an issue but I figured the carbon is most likely baked together in a kiln so hopefully more stable.

The 360 top view is something i would really like on the model x. Our 2011 bmw x5 35d has it, and its great for protecting the 20 inch sport rims. With our model x getting the 22 inch wheels it would have been a nice feature to have.
