One Lap of America in a Model S

Our goal was never to win the event overall -- have you taken a look at the competition? But, I believe the Tesla could win the Alternative Fuel class and do very respectively overall. I think people would stand up and take notice of how well the Tesla could do.

One Lap of America in a Model S

I'm surprised Tesla enthusiasts haven't shown more interest here for this type of an event. I think this is a perfect event to demonstrate exactly what a Tesla is capable of, today!

One Lap of America in a Model S

Here's how we planned to deal with the West Virginia hole: Summit Point Motorsports Park, 201 Motorsports Park Circle, Summit Point, WV 25446 -- 30 mile leg to Strasburg Denny's, 119 Hite Lane, Strasburg, VA 22657 -- 110 mile leg to Holiday Inn Express Lexington, 880 N Lee Hwy, Lexington, VA...

One Lap of America in a Model S

This year's Brock Yates' One Lap of America is projected to cover 2,827 over-the-road miles. Here is the schedule that details every leg of the journey. Driving normal highway speeds ICE teams usually have sufficient time to check into a motel near the next day's track, get in bed to catch a...

One Lap of America in a Model S

The I-80 hole is no longer an issue since Catesby Jones bought the Tesla on Monday in Boston and by that time the One Lap of America schedule had already progressed beyond the I-80 hole. My plan to avoid the I-80 hole was to travel from Pittsburgh International Race Complex to Palmer...

One Lap of America in a Model S

I've got good news and bad news -- first, the bad news! The 33rd Brock Yates' One Lap of America is underway and unfortunately my co-driver and I had to pull our registration at the last minute. A combination of my co-driver's unanticipated work demands and running short on time to rally...

HELP!! Model S P90DL and Co-Driver Needed for One Week

Beginning this Friday can you (or someone you know) free yourself up for 9 days and put your Model S to the ultimate driving dynamics test by competing in the 33rd Brock Yates' One Lap of America? I'm in a bind to say the least. I have an entry in this years' One Lap of America for a Model S...

HELP!! Model S P90DL and Co-Driver Needed for One Week

True. Ideally for logistical reasons in this event, straight fitment might be preferred. The rules for the One Lap of America dictate that the same set of tires must be used throughout the event and teams are allowed to carry only one spare tire per wheel size. So, if the car has staggered...

Surprising [and funny!] Problem with Auto Pilot

I was driving north on I-295 in Rhode Island just before getting on I-95 north and was surprised to see that the little speed limit sign on the dash read 85. Haven't been back through there since to see if the problem replicates itself.

One Lap of America in a Model S

Dithermaster, Hope you can make it out to the tracks in WI. A day at the track is always a great time! The One Lap of America can tend to be a little addictive so I'm not surprised to hear that your friend has run it twice. Maybe we should all have our heads examined?

One Lap of America in a Model S

You've got the event figured out. I like to describe it as a week of race all day, drive all night, repeat. The ultimate roadtrip!

One Lap of America in a Model S

7racer, My co-driver is more mechanically inclined than I but because it's a Tesla hopefully we won't have to turn too many wrenches during the week.

One Lap of America in a Model S

I have entered a MS in the Brock Yates’ One Lap of America (f.k.a. The Cannonball Run) which will be held this year from April 30th thru May 7th. My co-driver and I have competed in this event for many years since 2000. Now that there are more than 250 SC stations across the U.S., the time is...

2016 SC for NA page was updated

Thank you. Now I've got it. Those two potential sites look like maybe DuBois and Williamsport based on their proximity on the map. Obviously, these two SCs won't be built in time for my trip at the beginning of May. I'm a newbie but now I know a little bit more, thanks to your help.

Also found this map, but not here either: supercharge.info If you could send me a link when you have a moment, I would greatly appreciate it. I am in the process of planning the leg of a trip that will take me between the SC in Cranberry, PA (closest to Pittsburgh International Race Complex)...
