Bonnet came loose and flew up on our Model S at 40mph

Very interesting. I didn't know these experts existed. Do you know where I might be able to find one or what they would be called so I can Google to find one?

Bonnet came loose and flew up on our Model S at 40mph

As far as I understand, the car won't let you drive above 10mph if it detects that you've not closed it correctly, so it has to be faulty to open above 10mph.

Bonnet came loose and flew up on our Model S at 40mph

Interesting take! I can rule out not closing the bonnet correctly because I never used it. I put some cables in there for emergencies when I first bought the car then never opened it. That would rule out damaging the locking mechanism too. I believe that you can only be found guilty of...

Bonnet came loose and flew up on our Model S at 40mph

Hi all, Well, there have been a few developments in this but Tesla have still denied responsibility and expect me to pay for the repairs. I have told them that there is no way I'm ever going to give up fighting them on this however much it costs me as I believe you have to take a stand against...

Hi all, My wife (who is currently pregnant) was driving our Model S back from the pub the week before last doing about 40mph, maybe a bit more on a country road while I was in the passenger seat. All of a sudden there was an almighty bang as the bonnet flew up and (I think) hit the windscreen...

Done! I'm on the list (somewhere near the bottom).

A few questions before I pay my £1000

My current car does 0-60 in 4.7 and I get at least one opportunity a day to try that out on the very open country roads between my house and office. When I drive in the US I never go over the speed limit as I know in some states you can get in a lot of trouble for speeding, but the average...

A few questions before I pay my £1000

Hi all, Firstly, I'm new here so please go easy on me. I assume I'm posting this in the right place. I've lusted after the Model S and more recently the Model X, but dodn't think I'd be able to afford a Tesla any time soon so wasn't really paying attention until I saw Friday's announcement...
