My car got hit when I was staying at a resort one night by a hit and run driver in the parking lot. Thankfully sentry caught it and was able to id the car by the front license tag. My damage was far less than yours, but over $3K later it was fixed. Here's a closeup of the rear wheel well...
In April 2019 I went M3 shopping, primarily to see what the colors looked like in person. I agree the Midnight Silver looked like just a bland gray car to me. It was a cloudy day, so that didn't help it. Had decided the M3 LR was going to be fine, but when the salesman pulled up inventory...
I, for one, don't mind it at all. Gives me something to view instead of another show or press conference that makes me feel worse than before. We will get past this, and I'm glad they enjoy their car as much as enjoy my Model 3.
Stopped here coming back north from SoCal around 1pm yesterday. Three stalls were blocked by cones and the rest(9) were full. Fortunately the wait was only 5-10mins and I was able to get normal charge rates when I got a chance. Hope they either enlarge this location or add another in the...
They shouldn't worry, and they aren't. The more the merrier. Tesla's plan was to help start the conversion from all gas powered cars and this competition will only help the cause. Tesla is probably more worried about getting more and more people into EVs period, whatever the company makes it.
I bet your situation is a lot more common than those that had negative experiences, but most of the positive sale owners are too busy enjoying their "new" cars to post their stories as you have done. Thanks for showing there are good sales, and of course, some bad ones too. Congrats on your...
If you have never driven thru Death Valley I would choose that route. I did the reverse route from Mammoth to Vegas and I am glad I chose the DV route. Amazing scenery and a nice conversation starter when you tell your friends about the adventure.
After a couple of months and 5K miles, the only thing I don't like is the view out of the rear view mirror. Just wish it gave me a larger, more accurate view. Side mirrors are ok, but not as good of a view of my old P85.
Mine had 52, but the last 20 were delivering it to me. That said, a lot depends on where they may have to store the cars pending delivery. I know here in NorCal the Rocklin center has to store many of their cars offsite, so some miles may come from storage movement. I would ask why on yours...
I asked this same question here a few years ago and decided after the feedback, that for less than $10/month, plus the several AAA discounts, the added peace of mind was worth it. If the price increases later, we'll make that decision then
Same with me. Missing J1772 when delivered, but the delivery team brought me one that evening. Maybe trying to slip one past the goalies to save a little $$??
When I leased my Volt before buying my first Tesla, the dealer kept the Fed rebate, but in CA I was able to claim and receive the state rebate myself. Probably state specific though.
Though mine had the badging at delivery, a mobile tech had to come out this week to try and fit a spoiler onto my silver P3D. He had six brand new spoilers and only one was a close enough fit that we both thought it was worth a shot. He says the issue all along with the first batch, and the...
Mine was built in March 2019, so it was probably special ordered just before the Feb stop. I need to buy a lottery ticket before my current streak of good luck runs out! :D
When I went in to our SC to decide if I wanted to change from my Model S to a Model 3 a couple of weeks ago, I too was not thrilled with the color choices. But when my SA was looking for a car for me, a Silver Metallic P3D popped up from his inventory listing. Apparently someone did a special...
Last Friday, about a week after my delivery, I called to ask if I was on a list or did I have to schedule delivery of my spoiler. They checked and said a shipment of new spoilers had just arrived at the Rocklin SC and they would transfer me to mobile services to have someone stop by and...
Mine was at home, but since I'm also a MS owner, they may have thought that was better for me. SC is only 22 miles away, but I liked having no other customers around and having the complete attention of the DA. Found one minor paint issue and a missing adapter, but someone bought the adapter...
I guess I'll have to bug them about mine because I don't see my miles, but i do see the $10.23 charge for when they partially charged it up at the SC before delivery to my house, 20 miles away. Thanks a lot! :(
This P85 was my first Tesla and I’m still wondering if I should sell her at all. But I really love my new P3D as well and I just can’t keep them both. A great TMC member, or Carmax, Carvana etc will now call “Reddy kW” their own.
It’s a 2012 Signature Red P85 Model S, VIN #272, with 46,000...
Cold. I didn't check them until about 5 hrs after delivery and initial drive, when I finally had a chance to go thru all of the screens and learn my way around a bit. My Signature S has no real time readings.
My P3D was just delivered to me Saturday and the tires were all 4-5 lbs over the recommended 42lbs. I dropped them back to 42 for now and will decide if I'll go any lower.
I agree, although I was worried the car was refused for quality issues. I did look the car over as closely as I could, and found one small paint issue, but knowing the challenge of getting one of these, I'll find a way to ignore it for today.
After reading your stories of patient waiting, I almost feel guilty telling my story. Just 10 days ago I stopped by the Rocklin SC here in NorCal somewhat seriously looking for a Model 3, probably a LR AWD, but really just wanted to do a test drive to confirm whether selling my P85 Signature S...
Just switched from Conti to Falkens last month, so I have to say my comments are not going to cover their tread life, but I'm sure they will last as long, if not quite a bit longer than my Continentals. I was worried to change from the foamed Continentals, but have been very pleased with the...
$500 for four silver 21x8.5 Model S gen 1 turbine wheels! There must be a catch. Yes there is. All wheels are straight, but each has some rash and one has a small repairable crack.
A wheel restorer says the rash and crack can all be repaired for around $600 total. These would also work as...
I'm getting ready to do a 5000 mile road trip this summer and as much as I am excited about the trip, I am wondering if I will grow tired of the slow charging. In fact today I actually went thru the online configurator for the first time in 3 yrs. I think our battery's cooling system is too...
Have a set of 4 TPMS sensors - Conti Gen 2 model - 433mhz. Unfortunately have no use for these in my 2012 MS, but will help those in need of a set for 2014+ models. $80 shipped priority to US address. Msg me for payment details.
I asked for the price of one "wheel", so I assume no tire etc. But to be honest when he said the price, I just started laughing and he said he completely understood my reaction.
