    Londonderry NH Sales/Service Center

It's off-topic, but I just have a hard time understanding how traffic on an otherwise pretty rural road, moves so slowly even with a lot of cars on it. It's not like there are lots of traffic lights pausing the flow of traffic. Are that many people turning and entering/exiting? I get on...

    Supercharger - West Lebanon NH

Not to state the obvious, but 89 and 91 need a serious build out. We knew that before Monday, but now here we are. 93 and 95 have gotten all the love. Is there something particular making Supercharging siting so hard in VT? NH seemed easy to make happen on 93, so I'm not sure what the problem is...

    Supercharger - Medway, ME

I have a 2nd home in Littleton. I was there Friday until today and reading about all the traffic mayhem around northern New England, I realize that I really dodged a bullet by having a multi-day place to stay for this event. Traffic at the Medway exit looked pretty sick Monday evening on Google...

How bad do you think Superchargers in NH & VT will be on the day of the eclipse (4/8/24)?

I'm driving to my house outside Houlton, ME several days before. Usually, the southern ME Superchargers are at best 50% busy while Augusta, Waterville, and Bangor never have more than one other car or two. This will be interesting. Not you in NH, but if anyone else is passing through the...

Bangor also has "off-center" stalls/lines. It's almost certainly to facilitate V4 conversion, but for now, it's thrown me off the few times I've charged at Bangor, lol.

Supercharger - Kennebunk, ME (I-95 NB and SB service plazas)

I drive this segment regularly and I've tried both Wells/Saco and Kennebunk when on my southbound leg. I find the few minutes saved by the V3 chargers at Wells and Saco compared to the rest area V2s sort of gets eaten up by time lost at the traffic lights on each of those spur exits. Both Saco...

    Supercharger - Waterville, ME

I'm surprised Waterville didn't get included in the broader NACS set available to Ford, et al. It's a V3, 250KW, and I've never seen more than 3 stalls in use ever, including my car charging.

Strange....I'm showing 8 in the app as I type this. I've never seen this instability that I'm aware of with a SC site.

    Supercharger - Dedham, MA

It returned to showing 8 stalls this afternoon.
  17. Farmer

    Supercharger - Dedham, MA

I agree with that also because these "new" stalls are showing as 150KW V2 and we know that V2 hardware is not being installed anymore. Anyhow, I hope people don't route there expecting all these open chargers.

    Supercharger - Dedham, MA

Did the Superchargers at the showroom get expanded? This has been showing as a 12 stall Supercharger the past 18 hours or so. I thought it was 8 stalls? I first noticed this last night when navigation showed 9 stalls available.

    Supercharger Voting 2024Q1

I've suggested Auburn, Maine. The Turnpike loop west of 295 has a fairly large gap from Augusta, West Gardiner and Falmouth. There is a CCS, Chargepoint charger at the Rt 4/95 Auburn interchange Irving, but it's slow and there's only 2 posts. That and the Supercharger gap between Falmouth and...

This is where the Augusta Supercharger should always have been. I used this Irving across the street extensively when I drove ICE, but I have always passed the Augusta Supercharger up on the hill because it takes forever to get up there. That and there aren't really any good food/bathroom...

I'm not sure that they can simply upsize a transformer like that. I'm not a utility engineer nor a electrical inspector, but I am a former electrical engineer and do know that there is a relationship between the KVA rating of a transformer and the interrupt rating of the main breaker(s) on the...

Debating the switch to 18 inch wheels from the 20 inch inductions

I thought it was done so as to help keep people from getting speeding tickets. Seriously. The thing is, if the car is over-reporting speed and distance due to tires being ever so incrementally too small in circumference, it ends up artificially inflating the efficiency W/mi numbers, since the...

I found them on TireRack.com I have found Tire Rack to be very helpful on their website and phone over the years. Tire Rack provides a list of local installers when you order. Debating the switch to 18 inch wheels from the 20 inch inductions

I had some General Altimax Arctic 12 winter tires sized 225/60R18, 104T that were virtually brand new, leftover from my RAV4 Prime. I wanted to go to 18" for pothole protection, etc. and when I saw that these tires had the same 104 load range as my MYLR OEM 19", I got some Enkei Performance...

I don't have occasion much to charge in the Newton area, but from what I see on the app and navigation, the 2 existing Newton Superchargers often max out mid to late day. This new, larger location can't open soon enough it looks like to me.

It will be some time before this Supercharger is busy I would think so for now, you'd probably get away with pulling in the long way and staying hitched. 18" Aero wheels and Model Y load limits

A lot of winter roads are wet/snowy not dry snowy, and width matters quite a bit as regards to hydroplaning, "slushplaning", in very slushy snow/water. In dry, packed, yet shallow snow and ice I would agree about width. The snow/ice in that video is downright crunchy. Width won't matter on ice...

18" Aero wheels and Model Y load limits

My Arctic 12s are 225, not 235, just to be clear. They are a fair step down from the 255 OEMs, but as I say, they do have the same load range of 104, slightly different speed code, but both are over 100 mph, so, WTH?

18" Aero wheels and Model Y load limits

Regarding the Tire Rack wheels I posted, TR will warn that the 18X8" wheels might not fit a MYLR, but they do and clear the brakes fine. 'Not sure about Performance brakes though.

18" Aero wheels and Model Y load limits

Narrower tread is better in snow because it will float less at road speeds and sink down to more solid snow. One would think that at very low speeds, a wider tread would help with floatation, but not really. You'd have to go to tracks like a snowmobile or Snow Cat to get enough contact area to...

Chicago area superchargers failing in cold

Running individual lines to parking spots isn't going to work in many/most condos and apartments. the distances are too far and/or there are obstacles in the way. When to Replace 12v?

I always preemptively changed 12V batteries on my ICE cars beyond 4 years. I just didn't need that drama in some parking lot on a cold, rainy night, and they're fairly cheap. I usually did it myself on my terms and time, in good weather - old battery got recycled, no big deal.

Chicago area superchargers failing in cold

Agree completely. I would think it could be a problem if the charge handle and contacts are still a bit warm from the prior charge then they land in the snow, melting it some before the inevitable refreeze in the contact port holes.

some/all Maine Superchargers are getting re-priced tonight @ midnight

On a run to Sugarloaf today, the Falmouth, Farmington, and Kennebec South Superchargers all displayed a notice of a price change at midnight in the navigation. I'm assuming other Maine Superchargers may get price updates as well. My Versant rate in Aroostook went down January 1st by a few...

Nice little, 1st quarter crescent moon snuck into that first photo, sitting over the top of the right-most insulator. Also, Brewer shows as all stalls out of order tonight on the app. I'm up in Houlton until Tuesday. I would imagine I'll get to try out Bangor on the way south it looks like.

That doesn't look like it will be long at all. If the utility got that far on the transformer and pad wiring this past week, I would imagine they are only one more visit away from connecting the pole feed and maybe the meter.
