Lewiston, ID to Missoula, MT on US-12?

Plus taking into account 2 adults plus luggage & camping gear, etc. and going uphill, I find it hard to believe you would use fewer rated miles than actual miles. Thanks to everyone who responded. I'm going to consider this segment as a possibility, but whether we include it in the itinerary is...

Lewiston, ID to Missoula, MT on US-12?

Thanks for the US12 speed info. Looks like ABRP might be under-estimating the speed. But I also looked at the road on Google Earth, and I'm not sure bombing down it @ 65 is the best idea in the world. This is still feeling kinda marginal to me (though I appreciate everyone's input who says I...

Lewiston, ID to Missoula, MT on US-12?

Ooops...missed the fine print. Maybe it's just my west-of-the-Cascades mentality, but I tend to think of MT as a "mountain" state, not a "northwest" states.

Lewiston, ID to Missoula, MT on US-12?

Appreciate the feedback. I'm quite familiar with PlugShare. Saw the Kamiah RV park. Didn't want to have to make a charging stop en-route unless I absolutely had to, so I was looking for some reassurance that I wouldn't need to. ABRP shows speed of 49 MPH through that segment, but does not show...

Lewiston, ID to Missoula, MT on US-12?

Not sure if this should be in the PNW section, or the Mountain section, but I'm putting it here. Planning a vacation to Yellowstone this summer, and looking at taking some roads less traveled. Have taken I-90 thru Spokane, CdA, to Bozeman many times. Thinking about Kennewick-Lewiston-Missoula...

    Wheel curb rash repair Portland

Happened to my 3 on Day 3 of ownership. Just didn't have a good sense of where the edge of the car was when pulling forward into a parking spot. May try the touch-up paint & then get the wheels properly fixed after the winter (and enough experience with the 3 to avoid rash in the future).

Model 3 Phone Charge Cable Swap Thread

I'll open this up to anyone. Need a MicroUSB and would rather not pay Tesla $14 + shipping for the privilege.

What plug adapters come with Gen 2 UMC with Model 3?

Clearly...didn't look carefully enough. Thanks for the pointer.

What plug adapters come with Gen 2 UMC with Model 3?

I tried digging around a bit, and I can't find this info. What plug adapters are supplied with the Gen 2 UMC that's included in the Model 3? Is it just 5-15 or 5-20, 14-50, something else? Appreciate any info...Thanks!

Tesla Mystery - Truck Load of New Teslas in Washougal, WA

I would guess that anyone in Camas or Wahougal would be picking up their car @ PDX/Macadam and that they would not qualify for home delivery. Now, maybe Stevenson, White Salmon, or Hood River, but why not go out I-84 then? Truly a mystery...

do you drive better or worse, faster or slower than in the past?

When I went from a rusty old Nissan Sentra to a brand-new Grand Prix, I was a super-aggressive driver for like 3 years. I just hope that with 20 additional years of accumulated wisdom & patience, the transition from Leaf to 3-AWD goes smoother (& quicker) than that. Mashing the pedal up the...

    Wireless Qi charger opinions

Anybody know of an aftermarket option that allows wireless and plug-in charging? My phone supports wireless, but my SO's phone doesn't, and they're not planning on upgrading any time soon.

Siemens versicharge not charging model 3

I only charged twice with the 3 I rented, but no problems with my Versicharge either time. Has been problem free with my '13 Leaf for the past 4.5 years.

Anybody else abusing right rear tire?

Rented a 3 on Turo & managed to do this within 1000 ft of the pickup point, not too bad, but definitely felt it. But right rear was already totally rashed out...from previous drivers, presumably. Didn't do it again for the rest of the rental.

M3 test drive in PDX / Clark Co?

Now that Tesla has opened up orders for the 3, I'd like to order mine as soon as possible. I've seen a few in my local area, including a blue one in my grocery store parking lot that I now keep an eye out for. I'm hoping someone might be willing to give my spouse and I an up-close tour and maybe...

Come see our New Model 3 Vancouver, WA

Saw a black one today near NE 172nd Ave & 18th St about 145P. Second time I've seen it, and WA plates, so I assume it's local.

Come see our New Model 3 Vancouver, WA

I live in east county as well. Can't make it on Thursday...tough to know when I'll get my invite, but will definitely need to make friends with someone who has one so I can see it in person and maybe drive it a bit before I order. Who knows when the Portland store will get one that's available...

Oregon Coast Vacation Rental with HPWC

So just because I don't drive a Tesla yet means I have to spend an hour or more (if I have a Bolt) charging during the day, at some distance from the home, instead of while I'm sleeping at your rental? Seriously, there's no downside to having installed an 80A Clipper Creek instead of a HPWC...

Oregon Coast Vacation Rental with HPWC

Hmmm...too bad you didn't decide to put in a high-current J1772 so you can be appealing to all EV owners...not just Teslas. The 2018 Leaf could probably make it there from the west side or downtown, and the newer 2019 could do it from anywhere in the metro, as could the Bolt.

Has anyone measured to see if 17" wheels will fit?

Yeah...I can't find a picture of the tire label on the door frame from a model 3. I assume the higher pressure helps with range. Doing a little educating of myself, it looks like the OE tires, which are XL rated could be lowered to 42 and still have maximum load carrying capacity. I don't...

Has anyone measured to see if 17" wheels will fit?

Thanks for the info...I wasn't sure whether 18's was just a cosmetic choice on Tesla's part, or if they needed the space to meet their performance requirements (braking power, primarily, I guess). I've read the commentary that the 3 has a stiff ride, and in one case someone mentioned that it...

Has anyone measured to see if 17" wheels will fit?

OK...so I'm a long time off from getting my Model 3 (reserved just before AP2 launch). I also realize that the trend is towards larger wheels and lower-profile tires, but I was wondering if anyone had measured to see if 17" wheels might fit on the 3. I've seen pictures that show how a large...

North Central Washington high amperage L2 Charging Project

Would Plug-In NCW consider doing anything in SWW? Was out in the woods this weekend, and once again, I was struck by how poorly SW washington was covered by charging. Having some high-amperage chargers in Stevenson, Carson, Bingen/White Salmon, and Trout Lake (that aren't "Guests Only") would...
