2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

it physical buttons yes. fair enough ok. I seem to remember reading somewhere that putting your hand across all the buttons on the right side of the model s yoke activates the horn?
  2. T

2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

to To be honest having the horn not controlled by the center is actually much safer. Yes over decades we have become used to smashing the center with your hand and its hard to adjust but that actually makes it a lot worse in an accident when the airbag pushes your arm / hand that you had...

2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

sure yeah cars will go nuts, beeping everywhere as all sensors are engaged at proximity at different locations. Sometimes registering the bicylce frame and for a split second recognizing the sticking out pedals. That stuff is known and normal (of course could be better but people are used to it)...

2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

yep its pretty rediculous. Ive seen in the last days tesla has updated the order page to include summon and autopark as available soon features.

2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

yes if you have the enhanced autopilot then you also paid for a feature that lets the car detect parking spots and then park itself. This is autopark. Park assist is just the visuals about distances you get on your screen when parking. From what I have been reading the park assist sometimes...

2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

park assist should activate after a bit of driving, once the cameras are all calibrated. with enhanced autopilot you will have the potential of having summon but it is not activate at the moment because the cars are not equipped with ultrasonic sensors. Summon has not been active for anyone...

2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

thanks for the info. So they 100% went closer. they accurately (within margin of error) depicted the distance down to about a real world 5cm, to which point the thickness of the lines and resolution of the display made them touch. I park in super tight parking spots daily here in town and very...

2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

images to my post here. To clarify again, this car is equipped with ultrasonics, my thread about this issue was merged with this one. Can someone else verify they have a the same with the line on the screen no longer going all the way to the front bumper? According to the current visuals (now...

2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

moderators: why was my thread merged onto here? I was specifically talking about a car WITH Ultrasonics, and not without

2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

yeah seems like it to be honest, very annoying, i cant find many people noticing this, maybe most just park until it says stop :D I have it on both M3 Perf and M3 SR+ so it must be on purpose in the software and not a random bug it was so convenient when parking....

2023 Model 3 without USS and proximity functionality [park assist / summon not available]

Greeting everyone. Ive been trying to find info here if anyone else has it but cant find it. Atleast not with my search queries. Starting from 2023.12.x the lines displayed on the screen when parking have changed for the worse. I have USS sensors (09.2022 M3 Perf) and as im sure everyone knows...

Massive Price reduction???, Germany, 99k Ludicrous?

roughly 33% :O Madness, love to know why... maybe they cant justify the price anymore with the performance model 3 for half.... but im sure that 50k from the P models were not profit so they must have reduced production costs like crazy too. Or they are chucking out inventory and getting rid of...

200 kWh Roadster Pack: How is Tesla Pulling This Off?

As others have said its very unlikely the prototype had a 200kWh pack. Probably in the area of 130-140 to get to the performance they advertised. They didnt show trunk space etc (probably because it wasnt designed yet but also I wouldnt be surprised if they crammed the front and rear full of...

    Repairing a Flooded Tesla Model S : HOW-TO

You can see it shoot up to 116kW just after charging begins. Thought he might have :D Im really curious to see what they helped you with. Must have been one hell of a challenge. Maybe a software bug thats stopping the cooling from going on when supercharging?, you were charging at 116kW, they...

Plan: Off grid solar with a Model S battery pack at the heart

Can you charge your Teslas DC now, straight from your MASSIVE battery? Is this even technically possible somehow? like with a DC input CHAdeMO wallbox of some sort? Would help massively with efficiency.

    P100D usable battery capacity

So according to wk057 its 102.4kWh with 98.4 usable, respect, thats pretty awesome.
  18. T

    P100D usable battery capacity

Good point. Hoping someone sees this thread and tests with their p100d. Thanks too wk057 we know the real capacity of all packs but sadly not the p100d, and considering the p100d has been out for a while now im amazed no one has tested it yet, or again.
  19. T

    P100D usable battery capacity

So do we know the actual usable battery capacity now? It seems to be roughly 92kWh usable from the tests above and therfore 96kWh total capacity (if 4kWh buffer like other packs) I havent found anyone else test this.

Flat Fold second row now available.

It would be a booster, connected to the same compressor but has a small condenser. By the time the all ready cooled air from the front AC gets to the rear it would have heated up a bit, the booster then adjusts the temperature. Same goes for heating with a heat coil. Very common, lots of cars...

    US vs Europe software features

I did teach the manager a thing or two about the safety features of the falcon wing doors... Maybe he meant 83 countries, who knows but im going research that. It couldn't all have been something he came up with, or maybe it was :D
  25. T

    US vs Europe software features

Ah ok, thats cleared that up. Shame really its a cool feature to just get out and let it do its thing. The app makes it so clumsy.
  26. T

    US vs Europe software features

Haha ok thats useful.... So do you have the autopark function which is activated from the parking stalk? Oh ok, I thought when you line it up, press P twice and get out it will just move forward until you stop it or it detects an obstacle. Didnt know it has to detect it as a parking spot or are...

    US vs Europe software features

Greetings people, The US is a lot more chilled when it comes to autonomous features then the EU so im wondering if we could put up a list of features which are available in the US but not available in the EU. For example in the US you can double click the park button and have the car autopark...

    Oct. 17 - Model 3 Reveal Pt. 2?

Well not really, probably quite easy to implement in terms of the software. Of course you will get the people that are going to complain because they fully charged their car at a SC and now cant add any electricity from their panels. But I think the way I wrote would be the easiest way to get...

    Oct. 17 - Model 3 Reveal Pt. 2?

The car probably knows exactly how much power it got from what source. Tesla should implement vehicle to home hardware and then if your battery is charged 60kWh from a supercharger, and the remaining 30kWh from your home, then you only get 30kWh available for your house. That would stop people...

Does anyone here have a new 75kwH MS?

Dont understand why the software lock would still allow the 60 pack to charge to 4.2V each cell. With the S40 back then the pack was locked in the top part. So the pack just never charged fully.
  45. T

Does anyone here have a new 75kwH MS?

The per cell voltage should not go above 4.2V on any pack. 4.2V is the max for any li-ion cell I thought. Its possible that the pack cuts off earlier, so instead of a discharge cut off of 3.8V in the 75kwH the 60 could be cutting off at 3.9 or whatever and thus the lower capacity.
  46. T

My take on the new 100kWh pack

I was just about to post a thread on how many cells in the new pack, then I found this thread :D I was thinking earlier, so if the pack has 11.1% more capacity does that mean there are 11.1% more cells 7104 / 100 * 11.1 = 788 7104 + 781 = 7892, exactly what the OP came up with with :D Heres a...
