I was dropping AC in my Roadster in summer until my single fan setup went bad and the SC upgraded me to the dual fan configuration. All my overheating problems stopped after the upgrade.

Considering this is truly a manufacturers defect, does Tesla offer replacement once the Model S is out of warranty, similar to a recall?

Getting collector car insurance, vs primary daily driver insurance, may be an easier path. I will explore those options since this is truly a limited use vehicles, and report back on progress.

I will call them back and see if it is age related and they insure the later Roadster years.

We talked to our primary insurance carrier which insures three of our family cars about adding our 2008 Roadster. They told us due to the age of the vehicle, and difficulty getting parts, they are not able to add this car to our vehicle list. Any suggestions?

One of the Tesla Service Managers told me no one has ever successfully gone through a re-certification process, either Roadster or later models. Requirements are so stringent, no one passes, and costs are very high. Has that changed?

Do they have a fix for this "milling sound"?

A signature series Model S sold last week at an auction lot in Florida. It was a flood damaged car so no body damage, but most likely extensive electronics repair challenges. This car was either snapped up for:

The cost of parts for Tesla's seems to be another disappointment. They seem to be disproportionately higher than most other manufacturer's cars in their class.

My friend was telling me that parts are in short supply with production lines taking priority, so body shops have to wait and wait.

That was our experience as well.
