I’m getting a whistling noise at low speed (20-30pmh and higher.) It’s coming from the passenger side. Planning to attach some foam deflectors that I can move around to see where the noise is coming from.

Has anyone observed that this latest update seems to be taking a considerable longer period of time to complete? The past updates I receive since owning my MS (Dec-2016) have averaged around 20 to 30 minutes for the update to complete.

Just completed the update I referenced above. Firmware now at 17.24.30. Release notes are unchanged from 17.24.28.

I updated yesterday morning to Firmware 17.24.28 (2016 MS P90D, AP2, EAP, delivered on Dec 9, 2016). Was prepared to roll out this morning to work and there's a new update. Currently updating. More to follow.

In AP mode, are you observing an "smoothness" in how AP takes curves / turns? My observation using 17.17.4 is that the AP is correcting each of it's linear tangent lines as it takes the curve. Results in a very choppy curve esp. at highway speed. So, just curious what you or other's are seeing.

I'm on a EV pilot program with Dominion Electric in Northern Virginia. I charge my car during the Super Off Peak period (1-5am @ $.05/KwH). Based on my TeslaFi data, I've charged my car 111 times at home, at a total cost of $151.11 (starting on 9-DEC-16).

I just received the update. My car is currently in the SC (Tyco Rd, McLean, VA) for service to my steering column. Based on other reports, it looks like many owners who received this update so far are also at SCs.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I took it in on Thursday last week and have an Appt for this Tuesday. I'll have more details once the work is underway / completed.

Theory: The 'wiggle' effect on AP2 cars may be attributed to the 4 side cameras that are using a 'lobbing' process to gauge distance and angle as part of the tracking system. This would explain why AP1 cars don't experience the 'wiggle' effect because the 4 side cameras are not present. Hence...

Went to the SC in Tysons yesterday and they updated my firmware to 17.3.28. Guess what...no more 'autosteer disabled' or 'cruise control is disabled'. And, cruise / aurosteer str available, on the same roads I've been traveling.

I did the same thing. Took my MS (P90D) in last Friday after receiving the update (17.3.15), and although my SC crew didn't give me the same run around, they explained the situation exactly as you outlined and said the engineers in Fremont were aware and working on an update. You are not alone!

J- Tell me again how to perform the "power off" protocol you performed. I'm holding both scroll wheels and the respective button above each wheel until the dash and 17" screen cycle off then releasing whe the Tesla symbol appears. Is that correct?

Thanks! Will do. I went to the SC today in Tysons and they said it was a known issue. They told me that they were advised to drive the car for 60 miles and that had resolved it in some cases. Additionally, they said the engineers in Fremont are aware and working to resolve it.

I upgraded today to 17.3.15 (HW2). No cruise control. The dash display says "Driver Assistance Features Unavailable...If issue persists, Contact Tesla Service." What is this horseshit?

Sorry if I missed this, as I have just updated to 17.3.15, and I have a warning indicating that Driver Assistance is not Available (see attached). Is this a calibration issue situation? Anyone with HW2 and this firmware experiencing this please?

I think I understand your point. Flow of information or lack thereof is a culprit here. I custom ordered my car on one day and then Tesla announced a few weeks later that they were discontinuing the MS P90D. I called my DS and asked WTF, and he's like "we don't know until Corporate tells us"...
