    Yoke replacement

No, not exactly. Saying "if you don't like it, don't buy it" is completely dismissive and non-responsive to the substance of the post. There may be some really good reason Tesla doesn't offer a round wheel as an option, and I (and many others) sincerely would like to know what that reason is...

    Yoke replacement

Can anyone honestly defend the decision not to simply offer a round wheel as an option? I've been a Model S owner since 2015 (currently have a 100D after owning a 85D), and I love them. Plus my wife has a Model X, which she loves. But, I can't imagine buying a new Tesla with a yoke, and my...

    150 - 200KW Charging?

The 1MW V3 cabinet seems to be theoretical only (based on my admittedly anecdotal observations). For instance, on my way back through Kettleman City, I rolled in with about 15% SOC and it was 90+ degrees outside. The V3 charger I plugged into didn't hit more than 133KW, and quickly tapered...

    150 - 200KW Charging?

Here's a pic of my 2018 100D charging yesterday at V3 Kettleman City. I started with about 30% SOC, and it was about 80+ degrees outside. It hit a high of 184KW very quickly, but only for a minute or so and within a couple minutes tapered down to 141KW. Within 7 minutes it had tampered down...

    150 - 200KW Charging?

Finally a video of a Non-Model 3 (a MX P100D with 40k miles on it) charging on V3: Supercharger - Lynchburg, VA Started at 11% SOC Hit 107KW at 14% SOC in 2 minutes and 153KW at 16% SOC in 3 minutes Charging at 170KW at 28% SOC, 144KW at 33% SOC, 96KW at 38% SOC, tapered down to 80KW at...

    150 - 200KW Charging?

New high of ~188KW reported for a 2016 P100D. Apparently, it lasted for a while, starting from 8%SOC and was still at 183KW at 25%SOC with a slow taper after that. Supercharger - Kettleman City, CA (LIVE 15 Nov 2017, with lounge, 24 V2 stalls and 16 V3)

Supercharger - Culver City, CA (16 V2 stalls)

This location badly needs to be upgraded to V3 and have additional stalls added. It's the only SC serving West LA (other than Santa Monica, which is just a small Urban SC). The Tesla SC map lists others planned in West LA, but those have been listed for a LONG time with no apparent movement.

    150 - 200KW Charging?

And here are two similar reports: Supercharger - Anaheim, CA - East Katella Ave (LIVE 23 Dec 2019, 16 V3 stalls) 2018 X P100D at 11% hit 165kw Supercharger - Anaheim, CA - East Katella Ave (LIVE 23 Dec 2019, 16 V3 stalls) 160-170 kW in a new Model X Long Range

    150 - 200KW Charging?

Here's another V3 data point: Supercharger - Anaheim, CA - East Katella Ave (LIVE 23 Dec 2019, 16 V3 stalls) At 22% SOC and long drive, a new Model X Performance peaked at about 160 kW.

    150 - 200KW Charging?

Still looking for someone with a 100 or Raven Model S or X to post a charging graph of their V3 supercharging experience at a supercharger where M3s are getting up to 250KW. It would be nice to know how much faster V3 charging is than V2 for the newer MS and MX models. Older models such as 60...

    150 - 200KW Charging?

There are a number of reasons (unrelated to your car) why you might not get the highest possible charge rate at various superchargers. There have been times when one charger at a station only gives me 30KW when I am at a low SOC and then I move to the very next charger and get 100KW+. And...

    150 - 200KW Charging?

This 2016 MS owner is reporting hitting 186KW while charging onV3 at Kettleman City: Supercharger - Kettleman City, CA (LIVE 15 Nov 2017, with lounge, 24 V2 stalls and 16 V3)
  13. T

    Supercharger - Santa Rosa, CA (LIVE 20 Nov 2019, 20 V3 stalls)

I see that you have a 2016 90D. What KW do you normally get from V2 SC at that state of charge? Just curious if this V3 is turned down to start or whether your car is throttled down or otherwise slow charging?

Is Version 3 Supercharging any faster on Raven?

The few threads asking about increased charge rates from V3 hardly indicate an "obsession." And, of course less charge time is the objective, which is exactly what the higher rates of charge from V3 have achieved -- at least for Model 3. See Tesla V3 Supercharger: We Put the Latest Fast...

Is Version 3 Supercharging any faster on Raven?

Pre-Raven MS can charge higher than 150KW on V3 depending on the SOC, grid power, conditions, etc. See: Pre-Raven 100D also able to support upto 200kW supercharging?

    150 - 200KW Charging?

Here's more info regarding a 2017 MS 90D, which hit 164KW (albeit briefly). This shows again that a pre-Raven MS can charge on a V3 SC above 150KW despite some rumors to the contrary: Follow up 2017 Model S at Supercharger v3 : teslamotors

Confirmed: New Model S/X (Raven) has new battery version

According to this post, pre-Raven MS can charge above 150KW: Pre-Raven 100D also able to support upto 200kW supercharging? The 150KW at Hawthrorne V3 may have to do with that supercharger being dialed down, than with the capability of the car. See: Supercharger - Los Angeles (Hawthorne, now 8...

    Reduced supercharge speed on 100D?

I don't. But, I do notice significant differences in charging speed depending on the day and the Supercharger -- even at different stalls within the same Supercharger station. But, I just charged at Woodland hills this past weekend and got up to 141KW starting with about 25% SOC. Within 11...

    150 - 200KW Charging?

Quick update. At Woodland Hills V2 supercharger this past weekend we started with 83 miles of range (~25% SOC) and hit a high of 141KW. Within 11 minutes it added 87 miles of range (~51% SOC) and had tapered down to 104KW.

    Reduced supercharge speed on 100D?

I have a late 2018 100D and have gotten up to 130KW at about 20% SOC. But, it depends on the supercharger. Before the recent upgrades rolled out, I would get 118KW consistently until about 30-40% SOC before it started to taper. So, your situation is likely the supercharger -- not the car. If...

Interesting. Not many MS reports. Almost everyone posting about V3 is posting about a M3.

    150 - 200KW Charging?

Just curious if anyone with a new(ish) 100D/Long Range MS has seen the promised 150KW on V2 or 200KW on V3 supercharging (or anything above 150kw)? I know there is a thread for 2017 MS owners, but I have not seen anything for newer cars. I've got a mid-2018 100D and the highest I've seen on V2...

Tesla offered early lease end opportunity

Good point. My 2016 85D only has 21K miles on it with a $67k residual and late February 2019 lease termination (they can probably sell if for more than that). I just got the lease termination offer as well, which is good if I buy a new Model S, X, or 3P.

Trying to Convince Myself to Upgrade from 85D to 100D ...

Thanks for the comments. As a brief follow up, I double checked and the difference between purchasing my 85D vs. buying a new 100D is actually closer to a $40k difference. But, it's important remember that I'd be buying a brand new, and improved, car for that extra $40k and have an asset that...

Trying to Convince Myself to Upgrade from 85D to 100D ...

I'm going through this analysis right now. My 85D lease is up in February 2019, and I'm very tempted to order the 100D for delivery in December 2018 to get the $7,500 tax credit this year. But, I can buy my 85D (which only has 22K miles) off lease for $66K whereas a new 100D will set me back...

    Still no 8.0!

I finally got it. I noticed that my wifi signal was only at two bars where I park the car at home, so I moved an old airport router that I wasn't using to the garage and wirelessly connected it to my primary router. That upped the signal to the car to full strength. 8.0 downloaded within the...

    Still no 8.0!

Thanks for all the replies! Misery loves company. But, don't get me wrong, I love my Model S. Just want to see how the new autopilot features work, since it sounds like they addressed some of my minor gripes.

    Still no 8.0!

Anyone else in my position? I'm in California and I've got a 85D that I bought new this year. It is parked in a garage during the day, but is otherwise outside and getting reception at least 10 hours a day. I've even tried hooking it up to Wifi and still no sign of 8.0 firmware. Is it just a...
