Ford Announcement appears to indicate Full access to Supercharger Network (including V2) as a part of an expanded NACS agreement

100% agree this is more about keeping up with the number of V3 locations than anything. Even Lucid is quoting the 15K number now. I doubt Ford (or any automaker) wants to be perceived as having access to less Superchargers the others. I still firmly believe V2's are not in the mix. PS. There are...

Official Thread: Cybertruck (Cybrtrk) Event - Nov 21, 2019

LOVE the fact you are replacing an ICE truck with it AND adding a Tesla to the used fleet for someone else to go EV.

    Replika R187 wheels causing issues..

Hi there do you mind my asking where you got those center caps for the Replika 187 gunmetal wheels? The color looks like a perfect match can they be purchased off Amazon or eBay or did you get them from a Tesla service centre?

    Supercharger - Saint Leonard, NB

That is a VERY good point. I am from Bathurst, NB and often visit if I am coming back from Montreal. That cross-province trek just got a whole lot less stressful.

Yup, we suck ;-) All that is missing now is Halifax/Enfield to connect the ~200km TCH dots (except for PEI of course)

IONITY Installs First 50 Ultra Fast Charging Stations

How many chargers (plugs) per location on average? As more and more EV's that will be sharing these fast charging stations to support long distance travel hit the road that's the most important metric IMO.

    Supercharger - Aulac, NB

I'm holding out hope his storey is legit otherwise it's kinda disturbing if he went out of his way to make something like that up. The back of that lot was probably used for a lot of "extended-period" parking over the years and maybe the owner is just trying to accommodate some of his long-term...

Why does Model 3 need CCS/CHAdeMO adapter? This is why.

Tesla Model 3 engineering vehicles have been seen using CHAdeMo adapters even in my remote region of Atlantic Canada. Sometimes I wonder if Tesla has delayed CHAdeMo support for Model 3 simply because it wouldn't be fair to every other EV on the road currently sharing these fast charging...

Supercharger - Lincoln, NB (near Fredericton)

I really think we have to come up with a name for stall 2B under that Moose sign. I know that's where I'll be parking

Supercharger - Lincoln, NB (near Fredericton)

That is a good question I don't think anyone has ever answered definitively because each arrangement is likely unique. Who knows. All I know is my family has spent more $ eating at the Aulac Big Stop in the last year than all previous years combined (CHAdeMo + Supercharging) and the more...

Supercharger - Lincoln, NB (near Fredericton)

I know this has been discussed but do I ever think these spots are at risk of being ICE'd A LOT. Unlike Aulac, those are prime spots close to the main building, this location is super-busy and it does not have a parking lot as large as Aulac. Hopefully the signage is clear and Irving helps...

Supercharger - Lincoln, NB (near Fredericton)

I still love the idea of the Big Stop in Enfield. Massive parking lot and just outside of HRM enough to curb local abuse. I never thought I'd use it but now that I've been on a few road trips I realize a fast top-up there to get to Aulac is a lot more time-efficient than waiting for a top-up @...

    Atlantic Canada Superchargers

Well that's a pleasant surprise. Now Edmundston makes a bit more sense to bridge the gap between Fredericton/Oromocto and Riviere du Loup. Some will be able to make it from Edmundston to Levis too, skipping Riviere du Loup altogether..

    Supercharger - Aulac, NB

I have a theory (likely 100% wrong) that Tesla has not enabled CHAdeMo support for Model 3 because it simply would not be fair to all the other BEV's on the road. With the rate Model 3's are being delivered in North America imagine what the congestion could be like at CCS/CHAdeMo stations if...

    Atlantic Canada Superchargers

Looks like it's Edmundston (permint application). Wouldn't have been my first choice considering it's close to Riviere du Loup and still does fill the gap from Aulac but ah well, we'll take what we can get I guess. It's just a permit application though. Guessing Woodstock could still jump...

    Supercharger - Aulac, NB

After a pretty exciting spring and summer of Canadian Supercharger activity it sure has been crickets for the last couple of months in terms of new construction. Guessing this is totally normal to have periods of inactivity but have their ever been this many Canadian stations in permit status...

    Supercharger - Aulac, NB

That is a pretty wicked idea. For a small daily fee (and a healthy deposit refunded when you return it) that would make travelling across Nova Scotia a lot less stressful for Tesla owners because I think it will be a long time before there are Superchargers anywhere but the highway to Halifax.

I've always found the data on this site interesting. Granted these are funds to help support the deployment of EV charging infrastructure and not necessarily the total costs associated with setting up a charging station but if you look at the numbers it is pretty consistent at $50K per DCFC...

Woodstock gets my vote too. I'd even rather see Woodstock before Enfield, NS because along with Aulac it would pretty much allow 85's and up along with LR Model 3's to get in and out of the Maritimes on Supercharging alone. Of course we need the in-between's for smaller packs and winter driving...

(As per above) wasn't able to Supercharge in Aulac today (which meant another CHAdeMo cheeseburger at the Big Stop) but on the return trip from Halifax to Cape Tormentine saw 3 Model S, 2 Model 3 and a McLaren (no idea what model but it was awesome). I never noticed this before but 4 of the...

Although I'm happy to read about all the visitors coming to beautiful Atlantic Canada this summer in your Tesla's, this thread is straying. When is Aulac going to open? :) I'll be there Saturday and so want to Supercharge! PS. If I see you in a P100D I'll be asking for a drive. Never...

I'm not a huge fan of the Young's Cove CHAdeMo stop (small restaurant with very little seating). Woodstock, Fredericton and Salisbury have better options for food. That said, if you are just going to catch some zzz's in the car all of them are great.

NICE!!!! Turns out we will be up to the cottage again this weekend. Looks like there is a (slim) chance I may be able to Supercharge. Can't wait b/c killing an hour on CHAdeMo eating at Big Stops is adding to the waistline ;-) HaHa #SuperchargersKeepYouSlim PS. Happy they removed that 3-hour...

I'm down for anything and that sounds like a great idea. My workplace in Bedford is not a bad place to meet/start. KrisS posted some useful numbers on the number of Tesla's in Atlantic Canada a short while back. These numbers make sense to me. They are out there but rarely seen. I'm also not sure if these numbers include CPO's (which I bought) and they certainly wouldn't have included Model 3's yet so I'm...

Wouldn't Destination Chargers be better suited for hotels and golf courses since people are typically there longer? Personally I'm thrilled with the Atlantic Canada Superchargers going in at Irving Big Stops..at least so far. Sure there could be more food options but if they were in areas...

I think we'll still eventually see something in the Moncton area, perhaps at the Salisbury Big Stop mentioned by Mr. Plugshare above which isn't that far from the Magnetic Hill area. I'm all for Tesla sticking to placing their Superchargers slightly outside urban centres to support long...

Great pics rypalmer! Looks like they are taking up the whole back corner. I wonder if they will have one of those extra-long drive-thru like stalls for when someone is towing something? For a location like that which will almost always be supporting long distance travel a stall like that would...

    Supercharger - Aulac, NB

I like it. 8 stalls would be future proof for this region for a many years. Man I can't wait for the questions: How long does it take to charge? Less time than it takes to eat a Big Stop clubhouse sandwich. How much does it cost? Nothing. Yeah but you had to stop and eat. So did you ;)

Not sure if they are joined like that but between the 2 of them they call the shots in the Maritimes ;) so it's no surprise they would want to get in early on the EV revolution.
