It says 4/2023, not sure about the exact date. VIN was assigned last week so I assume that's when it got produced.

Delivery went smoothly, I didn't notice any obvious issues. As expected, no free supercharging or matrix headlight.

For the gen1 soft closing upgrade I emailed autoease directly: [email protected]. I don't know if these upgrades kits are available on their website.

I paid $200 shipping included. They also offered a $300 kit which includes new power structs. Apprently the new structs match OEM length and gen1 structs are shorter. But I think my trunk lifts high enough.

According to the vendor this is from their gen3 kits. Not too bad to install, the hardest part for me was to pull the cables through the rubber grommet.

I bought the gen1 kit from autoease in March 2017 and the only issue is how hard it slams the trunk. I emailed autoease and they sold me an upgrade kit which comes with a new control box and a power latch. I installed them last night the soft closing works very well.

You can get the oem pull cup and button instead of using the one from the kit. Operation wise everything is the same as oem except this one slams the trunk to close. Oem is more gracious because it uses a different locking mechanism.

The touch screen and keyfob both send signal to the lift gate latch to unlock it.The power liftgate controller has a cable that connects to the latch to intercept this signal and activates the power structs. Works for both opening and closing.

Do you have auto-folding mirror when exiting car? I noticed that if I fold the side mirrors my car gets the wifi connection back. Since the wifi antenna is in the side mirror perhaps there is some issue there.
