Gen 1 High Power Wall Charger - TPN 1011831-00-D won't charge 2023 MY?

No. This is a used charger. It's wired through a 50A breaker. Thanks for the manual and the advice. I'll flip the dip switch to the 50A config and see how that works. MDR

Gen 1 High Power Wall Charger - TPN 1011831-00-D won't charge 2023 MY?

Hello all, I have a Gen 1 destination charger that I can't get to charge my 2023 MY. I saw an earlier post regarding this issue with a similar charger TPN 1011831-99-B where they were able to resolve the issue with dip switch settings. Does anyone know if I would have the same success with my...

    New car issues with 2023

Glad(?) to hear I'm not alone. I feel a cold draft from my 23MY driver door lower perimeter. Not acceptable on a $60K vehicle! I did a slide paper test on the seal and it slips right through with no resistance, so there is a gap. Next step - convince service that it is a problem that needs...

New AutoPilot is horrible after update

I drove my 2015 MS with AP-1 for years and it was stable and reliable. Then I upgraded to a 2016 MX with AP-2. AP-2 was noticeably different, seemed to hunt more - less stable. Now I drive a 2023 MY with Tesla-Vision which suffered from phantom braking and lane changing.. Tesla then "spoiled"...

Groan when making 90 degree slow speed turns

OK, I'll add "sometimes" Sometimes it's operator hallucination. A common occurrence when there is no ICE background "music". Don't over think it.

Wiper motor/linkage is straight forward if you have a decent set of tools and moderate mechanical aptitude. Here's a good video -

Does the TeslaChip really do anything?

Dunno about that. If Tesla was truly concerned about product improvement they would have addressed the rear tire wear issue on the S & X models instead of service center gas lighting owners. IMHO

Windshield wiper arm scraping metal under the hood

Apparently wiper linkage pivot wear is a common issue on the MS. I noticed a clunking on mine and found the notch in the hood. I have a used motor & linkage (2019) en route but I made a temp mod to avoid more damage as we're in the rainy season here. I cut a piece of corrugated poly drain tile...

I have the same problem. I doubt it's the bulbs as was mentioned above. I suspect the ballast. I do all my own repairs and I'm lazy, I'll check the ballast connections when warning gets more frequent/annoying. My Tesla is a great car from a not so great organization....IMHO. MDR

Groan when making 90 degree slow speed turns

With the car parked, first turn the wheel all the way to lock , then get out and inspect the inner fender well liner for contact with tire or wear. Repeat for the opposite turn. If you see wear make sure all the clips for the liner are in place and engaged. Not a big worry.

Charge port pin slow retract & no charge LED lights

I'm experience the same problem (along with the self presenting door handle cogs). I suspect it's a mechanical issue with the charge pin retracting. If you fast charge, Tesla will permanently throttle charging

    Retrofit 7 seat to 6 seat in 2016 X

Actually the fold flat 2nd row seats (5 seat version) foot print is identical to the pedestal seats so no new holes are needed. Looks like the 7 seat version has the same foot print as well. It makes sense from a manufacturing point of view.

Changing 2nd Row Seats to folders

No offense, but you don't know what you're talking about. Seat mounts are identical so safety is not the issue. The greatest hurdle (as usual w/Tesla) is the software and warranty. Love the product. The customer service....not so much.
