AP2+MCU1, upgraded to AP3. Same choppy video. I tried both flash drive and high endurance SD card. I wonder if MCU2 upgrade can make it better.

Have you tried dashcam? How’s the video quality? The system shows me new nav data available after upgrading to ap3. Not sure if I need this for traffic light recognition. Same as you, I haven’t seen any new visualization after the upgrade

MCU1 doesn’t support viewer. I unplugged the drive and played it with my laptop. I suspect MCU handles writing video to the USB drive. It can’t handle complex scenes due to poor performance.

I just had my FSD upgrade. No MCU2 upgrade performed. Yes, it has front and two side views. The video quality is the same as what you get from the 2.5 car in that YouTube video, which is super bad. I'm screwed if I'm in an accident but my dashcam dropped a few important frames... Maybe MCU2...

Scheduled an appt in Montreal SC. Looks like they can only upgrade FSD computer, not MCU. Interestingly, I have MCU1+AP2.0, and I'm told that they can do the upgrade

I thought it’s only the chip. Are they gonna retrofit cameras in ap2 to ap3 as well? If they do that, they may also want to retrofit radars too and other diffs, which makes the program hell… seriously… might be easier to give people a new car to save some service appt. with all these model 3...

I do the same. Navigation on MCU is less important on S/X than 3 because we have IC for nav. Rear cam is much more important for lane change Maybe use escalate channel?

I'm wondering about the same thing. 75 to 100 is too much a gap and discontinuing the 90 can be a great opportunity to unify the cell modules, which is on their favor. 85 and 100 can be a good line and they won't bother to anti sell model 3 anymore since the battery capacities are in different range
