If you are looking to buy and install the Tesla Model 3 Wheel Locks, know that the lug nut covers fit perfectly over the wheel locks (versus the MX wheel locks that can't fit a lug nut cover over them). Picture below.

Here is the underside of the keycard reader and the access to the back of the lighter socket, which makes it a pretty good place to grab 12V on the switched circuit.

Yeah, I looked into those. I actually had one in my Taurus way way back... They all seem bulky (not that I'm using that space for other stuff anyway). I thought I could get a "cleaner" looking install if I tap into a wire in the pasanger footwell.

Looking to eventually put in a Blackvue system, but I also want to install an LED strip kit, which I plan to take power from a switched source for. I don't want to occupy my 12V outlet with that, so looking for alternatives

What would be the right fuse for his install? I'm asking both for the direct to 12V battery connection, as well as for the switched connection.

The second row backing is definitely not a one off. Just went to look at one. Indeed, the back of the second row is made out of some interesting material, not very Tesla-like. It looks like trunk liner to me. Which is great if you plan on folding them a lot, but not if you have passengers back...
