Aero wheel hubcaps replaced with center caps and black lug nut covers

If you are looking to buy and install the Tesla Model 3 Wheel Locks, know that the lug nut covers fit perfectly over the wheel locks (versus the MX wheel locks that can't fit a lug nut cover over them). Picture below.

    Dashcam Install Help

Here's the picture I found (I believe on page 3 or 4 of this thread), with the partially removed panel.

Yeah, those panels. No sliding, just pull out firmly, but you start from the back of it and move your way toward the front. Somebody had a picture of them earlier in the post I believe, I'll see if I can find it and direct you to it.

    Dashcam Install Help

Best to remove the black side panels, on both passenger and driver side. Those are easily removable, pull from the back (at end of the console), towards the front. It uses the same brass clips. Then it's just a pull uplike you said. I only removed the passanger side panel and I was fighting it a...

    Dashcam Install Help

Blackvue has that option already, but it takes one hour to charge and lasts for 12 hours only. To a lot of people that's not enough, since their commute is shorter than an hour, and the car may stay parked at night longer than the 12 hours. Now, if there would be some sort of a switch that...

    Dashcam Install Help

Not sure when I'll open it up again, but I'll remember to take photos of the actual connector next time. If I end up using that source of power, I was planning on tapping it on the wire directly, and running it thru a hole that I would have to drill on the same wall as the lighter socket. That...

    Dashcam Install Help

Here is the underside of the keycard reader and the access to the back of the lighter socket, which makes it a pretty good place to grab 12V on the switched circuit.

    Dashcam Install Help

Nice. That would make it so much cleaner. I need to check if that exists on the Model 3 somehwere.

    Dashcam Install Help

Yeah, I looked into those. I actually had one in my Taurus way way back... They all seem bulky (not that I'm using that space for other stuff anyway). I thought I could get a "cleaner" looking install if I tap into a wire in the pasanger footwell.

    Dashcam Install Help

Looking to eventually put in a Blackvue system, but I also want to install an LED strip kit, which I plan to take power from a switched source for. I don't want to occupy my 12V outlet with that, so looking for alternatives

    Dashcam Install Help

What would be the right fuse for his install? I'm asking both for the direct to 12V battery connection, as well as for the switched connection.

Recommendation on all-weather mats for Model X?

Got these installed a couple weeks ago and like them so far: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075M2RSNJ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Any recommendation on all-weather mats for the new Tesla 7 seat configuration?

I installed these a couple weeks ago. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075M2RSNJ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I like them so far. It says to put them on top of the OEM mats, but that made no sense to me, so I didn't.

Model X 2nd row now folds FLAT! (July 1st 2017 update)

Well, only had it for a few hours. Overall, I love the car. It's all I hoped for and more. And the delivery experience was quite good. I had been reading a lot of posts about delivery issues, and was really worried. Yes, there were a couple things I'll be taking it back for (mostly the FWD...

Model X 2nd row now folds FLAT! (July 1st 2017 update)

So, the zipper on the side of the second row seats. The delivery specialist thinks it is for easy access by the service team to the back of the seats. Here's a photo of the zipper on the side of the seat.

Model X 2nd row now folds FLAT! (July 1st 2017 update)

Got an update... ended up ordering a new inventory X 7-seater with the flat-fold configuration. It's not far, and they're hoping to actually get it to me in a few days. I'll take some pictures and post them once it arrives. The clear thing is that the back of the second row is made of the same...

Xpel Stealth on different color Model X's

Thanks for the photos! We just ordered the model X in silver, but I probably won't do the stealth wrap on it. However, on my M3... I actually like the stealth on the Midnight Silver. Anyone in the greater Los Angeles area know of a good place to get it done?

Model X 2nd row now folds FLAT! (July 1st 2017 update)

The second row backing is definitely not a one off. Just went to look at one. Indeed, the back of the second row is made out of some interesting material, not very Tesla-like. It looks like trunk liner to me. Which is great if you plan on folding them a lot, but not if you have passengers back...
