Anyone have any update on the carhger? Any new pictures of its progress are much appreciated. As soon as it goes live, Ill be doing another Bucees road trip.

I was disappointed that this charger did not open when Bucees did; but how busy it was for the first few months, it makes sense to hold off installing chargers until the site becomes a little more manageable. Plus now we get the bonus of having V4 charger cords for our Ford and Rivian friends :)

Glad to know the -09 and install worked. Now I guess the hard part is find that in stock somewhere if u have the adapter already.

Per MarcoRP it looks like the Buc-ee's Springfield location is still happening and that construction may start soon.

Yeah the only difference in the model/product number is the 09 (and possibly the Rev01, but I doubt the Rev01 matters)

I got bored and decided to take a look at the part number for the 2019 tesla model 3 ccs upgrade (that came in the adapter and board upgrade kit). The part number for the new board is 1537264-09-B Rev01. I could not find much about that board online, but I see that someone is already selling it...

I have a 2019 Model 3 and my mobile service for CCS retrofit has been approved for Monday. $383 (350 with tax). Ironically I still have the self install parts on the way. I will sell them for a loss on ebay. I will also ask to see the retro kit to see how it differs from the bundle of wires.

I should be receiving the parts for the self install upgrade by Friday. Which means that of course Tesla will come out with the official upgrade on that day. Its just how the universe works.

If it does not come out by the time they open up the network, Im just going to upgrade it myself. I held off specifically because they promised an official retrofit 1.5 years ago!

Permit/Construction/Open is a good enough qualifier separator to see how far along a project is. From this example a permitting took 2 years, which is very unfortunate; but there are other examples where construction has taken over a year as well (installation errors, etc).

Well, now I have the new game of going to the App; then Selecting Upgrade>Accessories and then searching "CCS" a few times a day. Im just glad its not dead.

If they cancel it, its a pretty bad look that Tesla cars that are just a few years old arent compatible with 3rd party NACS chargers.

Same with me. No message about January or my vehicle being able to be upgraded. Went ahead and used the Tesla app and requested to get an appointment to get the CCS upgrade, the person reviewing the request then told me it wasnt available (thru messaging/chat) and canceled the appointment.

Annnndddd....Its February. Now I just have to wonder if it will come out before Redwood does (most likely my next Tesla).

The Chargers are now working on the Tesla app. I guess they fixed them 🤷‍♂️

On plugshare someone charge there successfully on the 30th, but the app still says they are down. Im not sure what to think. This makes any trip through 44 pretty risky.

Ive heard that they have not been installed yet. Per this drone video they are not currently located where the site plans said they would be (West Side of Buc-ee's).

Ironically the Non-Tesla chargers at the Fenton stop arent the best either, but the new Tesla Supercharger they installed at the Fenton Wallys works great as always.

Supercharger openings used to have ribbon cutting ceremonies in smaller towns. I've been to a few get togethers celebrating when a Supercharger opened in my city. But since so many are opening now, these celebrations have kind of gone the way of the "Tesla Wave".

Wow It might actually be done before I visit again in October (Fingers crossed).

Someone needs to get a cybertruck and pull it out of those spots.

Im just hoping it will be up and running the next time I visit the area in October. I aint holding my breath though. :confused:

I dont live in the area, so if someone could drive by and check it out, it would be much appreciated (to see if anything has even started yet). This would become my main Supercharger on many of my road trips when it gets built.

Wow...these might be live before the next time I visit the area in August. Very odd that it took this long, but I remember the Oak Creek chargers taking forever to finish as well.

Metal cage removed. Chargers are not provisioned/tested by Tesla yet. I was able to get close to the meter to confirm that the site had power and it Does.

Meter is now installed. Chargers are uncovered. Only thing left to do is for Tesla to test and activate. This should be opening soon.

Drove by today. They have installed a box on which the to put the meter. Unfortunately there is no meter yet.

Transformer is now in place. I did not see a place on where the meter might go so I am unsure if that is in place as well.

Took a look this weekend. Still no transformer.

I talked to a friend and they drove by today. They said the chargers were uncovered (last I saw 2-3 weeks ago they were individually covered). I see that as a positive sign.

Drove by today. No real change except the excavator is gone (the fence is still up). I looked for a new transformer but did not see one yet.

Wally's Fenton location (38.544326, -90.465417) is now under construction! Only saw 8 chargers (2 x 4), kind of surprised they didn't go with 12 which seems to be the new default, but I guess they could install another 4 behind cargo container in the second pic (no evidence of that though)...

Oh wow cool, that is a surprise. I'll be hitting this one in a few months. I see it on the Tesla App as well. This needs to be added to the map.

The new V3 chargers are now activated and I charged on it today.

I would have preferred something closer to 55 but the more chargers, the better I guess. The current Springfield charger is easy to get to, but the after-hour facilities (bathrooms) are severely lacking in that area.
