Given the generally mystery around how cars are selected to receive firmware updates, I thought I'd start more rumours in this thread about how I may have cajoled my car into downloading the new maps here in the UK. I was slightly obsessive! But please bear in mind, I have absolutely no idea...

Thanks. I have add myself to the Teslettter map - great idea. Tried to update my response so the car model description was a bit more accurate but it didn't seem to update. Will also comment in the other thread with more info on how I may have cajoled the car into downloading the maps.

I hadn't seen any reports of maps in UK to date and I was a little excited when I saw the data creeping up! Small things. Overall, initial impressions were good, instrument cluster view was much clearer and as per other comments on this firmware everything is much smoother on the big screen...

Here are few quick photos from today. The changes are subtle but on the instrument cluster the route is show in more detail with road names appearing with little rectangles and the next instruction point shown as a point. The big screen maps look very familiar. I'm sure the voice is different...

Definitely got the new navigation and maps here in the UK. Will post pictures soon. I have noticed that passive entry has been disabled as per release notes but although release notes states it is possible to re-enable it, I am unable to as the setting is greyed out. Anybody else got this?

I'm in the UK and received this update 2 days ago. Haven't had a chance to drive it much yet (about 20 miles with no AP used). However, it has been busy downloading over 9GB of data in the background over Wifi with nothing yet to show for it. Has anybody in the UK or Europe had a map update yet?
