Charger, HVJB and boot floor fitted today. And by some miracle, the halfshafts fit:)

So today we installed the GAZ coilover struts and mountings and the driveshaft hubs. I'm coughing up grinder dust right now so short update:) And of course the video :

Lots of subframe progress today. Random fact : got a message on youtube saying I should be burned at the stake. Guess that means I'm doing something right

Mega progress today with the E31 Tesla drive unit swap. Both the modified E34 subframe and the drive unit fit with only needing to cut out the spare wheel well. Custom subframe mounts will allow us to bolt up to the exisiting factory mounting points. this thing might just work

Got the car and drive unit to the workshop today. Swap starts tomorrow:)

Large drive unit all packed up and ready to go to my pal's workshop for installation in the E31:)

Made some progress with the 10kw Gen 2 charger today. Looks like the E31 will be getting a Tesla charger also:)

The last part of the open source logic board is done. We have working temperature sensors. Time now to wrap up the bench tests on the large drive unit and start building it into the E31 for some road testing.

The hill hold function is in the inverter firmware. I have yet to test it but it is supposed to hold the rotor within a few degrees on rotation.

Quick update :

I know this is probably a super long shot but does anyone have any information on the temperature sensors used in the large rear tesla drive unit? I have measured room temperature resistance and observed the resistance drops with increasing temperature but that's it. My plan is to start running...

Hit another good milestone today. Got the inverter back on the rear drive unit and did a few runs. Not until I was editing the video did I realise I was running the motor in reverse
