Exact same issue: door handle replaced,now wind noise. In my case, the wind noise is at the front by the small triangle glass edge. I can press on that area and reduce/stop the sound. Service appt. scheduled.

You CAN get the MCU upgrade and AP3 all at the same time. BUT if you choose to do AP3 and keep MCU1 - currently, we are being told you CANNOT upgrade to MCU2 after the fact as @appleguru has said above. It's a bug/firmware issue we are being told. Hopefully they sort it out and this problem...

I don't disagree (needing MCU2). I (wrongly) assumed I could upgrade at some point in the future - right now I hear that is not an option once you do MCU1/AP3. Hopefully that sort that out and I'll probably buy MCU2

I had HW3 put in a about a month ago, kept MCU1. The MCU is clearly slower - like searching navigation takes at least 30-60 seconds now to find anything. I've also had more lockups/random reboots. At least 2-3 in the past month. I do have a USB in there for dashcam and have not tried removing...

I'm sure its covered in one of the long threads on these upgrade topics - but to answer your question. yes - i did the AP3 upgrade and kept my MCU1 - Very short calibration and traffic lights showed up right away. I'm pretty sure cyclists were already there though, I've seen them in the past.

On Android, using this "Bluetooth Volume Manager" by darken - its bee great since I posted this. 100% no issues. I see the car still try to turn down the audio, but he app steps in before its an issue.

Aha! Thank you for the tip. I got "Volume Lock" app, hope thats the right one. Re: after reboot of MCU- thats why I thought the car was fixed... it worked great then, but returned to bad form after a few uses.

I got the 2020.4.1 update and mine is still cutting volume when streaming from the phone. In an *attempt* to give myself the best odds, I unpaired the phone before the upgrade and paired again after - same problem as before. Much sadness.

Agreed with @Ostrichsak - this issue is volume dropping between and during songs to a much lower volume. Wondering if anyone got the new update and if it fixed this yet? (2020.4.1 which is rolling out more broadly). I'm on 2019.4.2.1 and thats when it broke for me (mid Dec update)
