My 2007 Hybrid Camry which has more than 300000 kms. still got original pads and rotors. It works perfectly well and stops on a dime if required. Never serviced the brakes either. I am expecting same service level from Tesla too.

MCU in my 2017 MS already replaced once with refurb. MCU1, which is actually worse than the one they replaced. I have been scheduled to come in, but will postpone my appointment due to pandemic. Hopefully things will improve before the warranty expires.

This new battery is Made in USA. All previous batteries for s/x were made in Japan by Panasonic. This may be using newer 2170 cell made in US.

After MobilEye breakup with Tesla, they were bought by intel. Tesla now broke with Nvidia and tied up with intel to produce MCU2 and onwards. I suspect tesla will get help from mobileye in future.

Quality of Made in China has to be better. China is the manufacturing powerhouse of the world. They are also leader in construction. With so much infra development. Even the Tesla factory was built in no time. I don't think Berlin could replicate that.

I have already bought FSD, hopefully HW3 upgrade will resolve it. Technician admitted that my car is not unique with this issue, and whey got notification from engineers for not replacing any hardware for this issue. At least that was the excuse they gave for not fixing the car and keeping it...

My car(MCU1) always had issues with rear camera. It shows frozen image from past/different location. SC had replaced camera, even MCU with no resolution. Now with release of smart summon feature, when car do not get correct feed from the camera it take wrong decision. One time it almost backed...

IMHO tesla will have to update MCU1 too for FSD option. MCU1 don't have enough hp to process rear camera input required for FSD processing. I may be wrong.

I too see skateboard as frame with batteries. As Evbwcaer said, all teslas are more related to trucks than car.

My MS even show the image from past/different location while backing up. When using smart summon car don't see the pedestrians, instead see some other image with clear path. If car mow down somebody, I will be still liable.

My car with AP2.5 h/w can not even recognize the speed postings still. Yet cars with AP1 can do so since 3 years.
