    Thanks for the link.

    "USB" Command no longer Works

The commands apparently change all the time. For instance, "Turn AC off" used to work. Now it's "Turn fan off." Is there some website that gives a list off all the voice commands?

    "USB" Command no longer Works

Using Apple Music or some other third party app defeats the whole purpose of using one's USB where you can play only the tracks you want.

    "USB" Command no longer Works

I can't believe it has been that long since the USB resumed automatically but you're probably right.

    "USB" Command no longer Works

Used the voice command "Switch to USB" this Saturday morning, and it worked like a charm. Thanks for that tip.. Better if Tesla would fix the situation, so that no voice command would be necessary, but I ain't holding my breath!

    "USB" Command no longer Works

I never saw the USB icon when using the voice command. I'll try saying "Switch to USB" and see if that works---maybe tomorrow (Saturday) the 18th) Hopefully that will work..

    "USB" Command no longer Works

I use my USB drive to play my music in my car. When I get into my car after it has been sitting overnight, I get the command to "choose media source." I used to be be able to say "USB" and the player would go to where it had left off before. This command stopped working about a month ago...

    USB music getting disconnected

Saying "USB" worked for me too for a while. However, about a month ago, my car (2016 Model S} stopped recognizing this command and said it could not open my USB music. Anyone else have that problem?

    Safety Score for Insurance

I've had Tesla auto insurance for about 9 months now and didn't know that being in Autopilot (AP), for the most part, would not affect my safety score. In fact, I have been disengaging from AP sometimes at freeway speeds (75MPH) when I felt I was getting too close to the care in front of me--I...

The Safety Score system needs some serious work

I think the poster meant to say that the forward collision warning was unwarranted, not that it was "not his fault." I have had that happen to me when I was probably going no more than 15mph and was in complete control of whether or not I could brake in time (not even hard braking) to avoid a...

The Safety Score system needs some serious work

I have the Tesla auto insurance, so my safety score affects my monthly premium. As stated by several posters above, the metrics used to determine one's score is seriously flawed, but once you learn how some of the scoring methods are applied you can adjust your driving habits if you want to. I...

Every time I get into my new M3 music doesn’t autoplay and it tells me to “Choose Media Source”

I just tried that voice command for the first time today, and it worked like a charm on my 2016 Model S. Thanks big time to cat7 for finding that information from another post.

Music reverts to Bluetooth phone connection every time: “Choose media from phone”

I know this is an old thread, but it talks about a problem that I am having with my audio. I own a 2016 Model S 90D, and a few months ago I also started getting the message "Choose Media Source" every time I got into my car after being parked overnight--possibly after an update (I don't...

What is the "Streaming" app, exactly?

I'm paying a monthly fee for the streaming service available on my Model 3 (I guess it is Slacker). However, if I decide I do not want to pay the fee, will I lose any other functionality in my Tesla, such as Internet, maps, etc.? I have spotify so I think I am duplicating my services if I have...

Supercharger - Tucson, AZ - West River Road

I agree about pull thru's needing more real estate. I was talking about pull-ins only.

Supercharger - Tucson, AZ - West River Road

It looks like these are the traditional back-into stalls. I was hoping that the newer superchargers being constructed would be pull in stalls. I don't think that they would require any more area, but I could be wrong. Maybe they would be more expensive to construct?

Blog School Board Approves $68 Million in Incentives to Bring Tesla Factory to Texas

I don't think per se that having a new business/company coming in is bad for the local economy, just not at the expense of special tax incentives/credits.

Blog School Board Approves $68 Million in Incentives to Bring Tesla Factory to Texas

Although I'm a huge supporter of Tesla, I'm opposed to granting special tax incentives to it or any company. The lure of more jobs would just be offset by losses in other areas of the local economy, and the net gain is often an illusion over time. The incentives (credits) is ultimately lining...

Hope that I get that update soon for my Dec 2019 Model S.
  22. S

    2020.12.5

I never had a "TeslaCam" folder or partition on my thumb drive, only one partition containing my music. It is formatted in FAT32, and I lost my music after the aforementioned update. I have a Dec 2016 Model S, so I probably have an "older" MCU.

    2020.12.5

What is the entertainment icon? I tried putting my USB thumb drive into my port again, and still no USB icon on the monitor, so I still can't play my music on the thumb drive.

    2020.12.5

So essentially what you are saying is that the number of "available" stalls are all operable, no matter how many other stalls at the site are inoperable. Okay, I just wanted clarification.
  25. S

    2020.12.5

Are you sure about this? Like someone else who posted previously, I interpreted it to mean that there were 8 unused stalls available, but that 1 was broken, and that 4 stalls were being used. Has anyone actually verified the correct interpretation, or are we all just guessing at this point...

90 and 75 battery packs getting nerfed early???

I have a Model S, 90D also purchased in Dec 2016, which started with a 295 rated mileage range. How can I go about determining its range now?

    Tesla Sentry Mode in Action

I have a December 2016 Model S, 90D, and was told that if I bought the Full Self Driving option, I would get the dash cam feature and presumably the sentry feature along with it.

    Buy now or wait?

Even though your cost savings might be low with a Model 3, it produces no emissions, and that is a huge positive for our ecosystem. Look at it as your contribution to our planet.

    Supercharger - Glenwood Springs, CO

Great! I think EV slots should be treated like handicapped spaces. When I run into ICE situations, I usually put a home made, courteous note (copies of which I carry around in my car) on the car's windshield explaining the situation to the driver and requesting that they not park in EV slots...

    Dashcam, USB, and Autopilot

I received my Model S in Dec 2016. The Model X was received in March 2018, so you were right about that. I guess my Model S is too "old" to get the benefit of the dash cam feature without having autopilot. Thanks for the input.
  32. S

    Dashcam, USB, and Autopilot

I have a Model S without autopilot, and I formatted a 32GB flash drive in FAT32, created a "TeslaCam" folder, and the recording did not work. I tried that on 3 different flash drives with no success. Did you get an icon with a red dot to show that it was working? I stuck one of the drives...

    Cost of Home Charging

My utility rate is approximately 11 cents/kwh. Using my 240 volt 50 amp circuit with a NEMA 14-50 outlet, what is the cost per mile to charge my Model S, 90D? Also, what would the cost per mile to charge my partner's Model X, P100D with ludicrous capability? I don't know how to make the...

    Tire Mileage on Model S

I had a hunch that this issue has been discussed before, but I could not find those threads, so I asked the question again. It sounds like Michelin's are the much preferred replacement tires.

    Tire Mileage on Model S

I have about 20,500 miles on my two year old Model S, 90D, original tires, and was told that I'm in need of new tires pretty soon. I am not a hot-rodder and drive fairly conservatively, so I was surprised that my tire life is so low--only have about 3mm of tire tread on all my tires (I've had...

    Supercharger - Fountain Valley (LIVE 28 Aug 2015, Expanded 27 Oct 2017, 16 stalls)

I also got the "reduced service" and "temporarily unavailable" messages yesterday (Dec 10), but when I got to the superchargers, they all seemed to be functioning as cars were pulling in and out, and I was able to charge up without any problems.

    Supercharger - Flagstaff, AZ

I was at the SC at the Marriott in April, and my navigation system did not direct me to turn into the hotel's driveway which leads to the superchargers. I knew that they were at the Marriott, so I turned into the driveway anyway and was able to find the chargers. Upon leaving the hotel from...

    Supercharger - Gila Bend, AZ

I was at the supercharger about 10 days ago, and slow charging was still a problem. I tried two of the face in slots and was getting very slow rates (I can't remember the exact Kw's), so I then went to one of the back in slots where the charging rate was pretty good---I think I was getting...

Supercharger - San Diego CA - A Street (LIVE 27 Jun 2018, 16 Urban type)

Seems like it is a hit or miss situation about getting out without the $5 fee. I'm from out of town and was in the San Diego area for 5 days and didn't know that the first 15 minutes were free. However, I'm paranoid about driving downtown (because of the traffic and congestion) in just about...
