If going south, the two L2 chargers in Ridgway town park are pretty quick and always available. Good restaurants nearby too. I have used the Centennial Plaza chargers in Montrose often when grabbing pizza at Colorado Boy. Worth the charge!

I think we are in agreement. I'd still like to see Ridgway though for personal reasons living in GJ. In fact I'm driving to Telluride on Friday and wouldn't mind a boast before arrival to avoid L2 chargers there.

I don't disagree. My point was instead of 2 chargers they could get most of the benefits for the region with one in Ridgway. I keep a sailboat in Ridgway and drive to/from Grand Junction on a single charge. The only hard part would be GJ to Poncha with the uphill grade but I doubt the route...

Check make sure there isn't construction tags on the OSM data. That might affect SS.

I emailed Tesla at [email protected] about 6 months ago suggesting they place a charger in Ridgeway instead of Montrose and Telluride. It would be more efficient in the region. Never heard back from them.

Open google maps on your phone, look at a shopping mall parking aisles. Then look on your cars display. It's not OSM, it matches Google. I understand why they use Valhalla for navigation, because they can tweak it for their needs. But the display is ugly google, which is weird to me.

I don't know for sure but it does seem like an odd mix of services. And since v9 the maps display has been really ugly compared to before (my opinion). The roads a a mess of grey lines that are hard to distinguish from other types of roads. Google map prices

Display is google. At least in Colorado where I live. Doesn't make sense to pay for google tiles but use Valhalla as routing engine. Especially if you can make the display much better looking with OSM. The current road display is painful on the eyes.

This. I work with OSM a lot in my day job. They may use it for display but not navigation. FYI - Mapbox uses OSM for their maps, not their own proprietary data. So what you fix in OSM ends up in Mapbox which may end up in display in your car. Someone mentioned it above. You can also learn...

Green river can be fast. Choose the charger closest to curb and flags, I have found it to be the fastest. I watched Riding in Cars with Comedians on Netflix at St George Supercharger over the weekend. ;)

I try to skip the Beaver charger if I can. Typically you can go from Richfield to St George without range anxiety.

I'm getting good reads on red lights during the day. But the warning is way too late to be safe so I slow to 18mph to attempt the read in an intersection and then slam on the brakes. Works every time.

It detected the two stop lights that I tried for. It was way too late in giving the warning and I wouldn't trust it just yet, but my car is reading stop lights!

I had it in my previous update and it didn't work. I'm hopeful 2019.12.1 has improvements. I really want those red lights and stop signs. I'll train the life out of that neural net with it.

I just got it, with auto steer stop light warning! Excited to try it in the morning.

Looks like the closest is Grand Canyon Village. There are a few NEMA 14-50 at the Grand Canyon Caravans RV Park. The Kingman SC should be useable to get in and out of Supai, AZ. Check plug share for options.

I don't think this is a correct assessment. V9 software will add on ramp/off ramp feature which will be substantially different than what AP1 can do. And in 5 years, AP2 will be more functional than AP1 which will do what it currently does with only safety updates.

If you live in rural America like I do, AP1 is just about everything you need. Unless you want to just play with new features on occasion. AP1 is still leaps and bounds beyond a standard car, and with unlimited supercharging, a Tesla at 60k+ is still a great deal.
