This is a new build and I came in to see today that the electrician had changed the charger from ‘hardwired’ as it has been for a couple of weeks, to this ‘plugged in’ configuration. Have I lost any charging capability with this set-up (50a circuit)?

I put the Falken Avenzis on my S over 10k miles ago and am very happy with their performance and wear. I just checked tread depth and think another 2-3k is a safe bet. I have only switched between these and the 19” OEMs, so can’t compare with other 21” tires.

I have 7k on my Falken 510s (21" Arachnids) : great handling and wearing well. Not cheap, just less expensive.

Another vote for the 21s if you are looking for performance and style. Also, I have the Falken performance tires on my 21s and am very happy with them - well reviewed and less expensive. Just an option...

Less expensive does not always equal cheap. Every tire has to be measures against the next, regardless of price. .

$2k for a complete set (rims and tires) is a heck of deal! You have to make your own call on what you want to invest in but that is a great price to get started at.

I'm with Stan on this: I spent about $3500 for rims, tires and painted calipers that I didn't need and could not be happier with the handling and look.

That is some price! I had mine painted and lettered and it was $150/caliper.

I went with the Falken 510s. I wanted to try them out as most use the Michelins. They are less expensive. So far, handling is great but only time will tell regarding longevity.

I don't think $4000 is unreasonable at all. I was shopping for my own set recently and see most prices higher. If you got a set of new Arachnids with new tires delivered to your door for $3k, you got a real special deal.

Just a quick pic from when I picked her up but the dark grey arachnids are such a big difference from the 19" Slipstreams. Also had Xpel applied to the front half and the calipers painted.

I understand that Tesla has rated last in a recent 'fruit-assisted AP' study. GM has much better oranges and has a watermelon in the works - it's a Tesla-killer.

Some have replaced the batteries on their own though I believe it's more involved than a typical car battery pull and drop. Not sure on the warranty. They sure have replaced a lot of 12v batteries though.
