It will be very interesting if it happens, but I just highly doubt it - mainly because of the gearing and aerodynamics needed. By then there may be an ICE vehicle that hits 300 even.

I believe you are correct. The second to last image makes it look a lot shorter (because of the angle of the image), but in comparing the prototype to the car at the reveal it appears the same.

It appears it was never designed to be a true convertible then - from the very beginning. The front end is a lot shorter than on their original design as well.

I just got confirmation of my Roadster reservation. I paid the initial $5k as soon as the site went live, but waited a few days to send the remaining $45k, so they are still working through getting them all processed.

I'm unsure how you surmised I'm worried about it. Did you sense my tension or anxiety from my sentence? If we can use a referral code and give someone else a referral credit and possibly get unlimited supercharging as well, then why wouldn't we want to do so?

I've seen a few rumors of what you get in the founder's edition, but has Tesla stated anywhere what the different between the founder's version and the non-founder's will be? Anyone have any inside info on it?
