@martinst in the US they have started disabling the supercharging in the model 3. This is somewhat recent. If I recall correctly they aren’t even doing it via a software update. It lasted for a few years here.

Thanks for the heads up. They figured it was a whole lot easier alignment the emblem with the prongs. Here’s my model 3 without an emblem. I wonder if the hoods are interchangeable. I haven’t bothered to check.

I haven’t been in that situation. I’m fairly certain you know that this is different. Your Tesla account gives you far more capabilities that just having a “key” to your car. Plus I’m giving the original poster a hard time because he went out on a limb and posted some crazy speculations.

Yea it did create quite a storm. What’s fishy is that you don’t own the car but have access to the car still. You can login to your Tesla account and remove it manually now, if I’m not mistaken.

I can’t help about where to get an estimate. But based on this picture there is most likely no damage to the battery, charger, or motor. Did your seat belts lock up or any airbags deploy? If they did you won’t be able to drive the car, and it will not charge via 240v or supercharger.

I barely use sentry mode, so that won’t be a huge factor. Preconditioning, preheating cabin and vampire loss are the big ones. This month I’m going to try charging when battery is warm, and will not pre heat the cabin. Will be interesting to see the results.
