Practice DIY by using something less permanent like Opti-Seal.

You can always practice with not-so-permanent seals like Opti-seal if you want to do some DIY.

They knew where they were....I'm in San Diego, so there are tons of Teslas here. I swear certain popular dining areas you couldn't walk half a block without seeing a Model 3.

I've gotten enough dings in other cars that I find PPF, at least the front end, is worth it. I didn't pull the trigger on the ceramic but I've found that something less permanent like Opti-seal is definitely something to consider every 4 or 5 months.

I'll second Monumentalworkx. They've been great on my 3 (ceramic tint, frontend xpel, chrome delete/decal color), and I'm planning on going back to them for the the 3D i'll be picking up soon. Instead of painting the calipers I went with MGP's covers.

What's the price difference, and how much protection do you get from the 3M vs the Xpel?

Just remember if you decide to PPF your front end, either stick the holder on first and cut around it or stick it on after and risk that if you decide with a different mount you're gonna rip off the film. That or you'll be ripping off the holder too if you're replacing the film.

Center caps are from the official set from Tesla. I just stuck on red decals that I found off Amazon. The front and back emblems on my car are vinyl wrapped.
