Tesla service told me it was some sort of interference coming through the speakers that was somehow correlated to acceleration/deceleration which was fixed with a later firmware update. It hasn’t happened since.

T-5 hours to delivery!!

I don’t think there’s a way to see it online (although I wish there was!) so I emailed my DS a few weeks ago. I was just trying to make sure my delivery didn’t conflict with my travel plans - didn’t want to bug him too much!

Yeah, my boyfriend and I ordered cars about a month apart so he has been my guinea pig for the whole thing. My VIN was assigned 2/10, not in production yet. My estimated delivery date is 3/22.

You’re in Seattle? My boyfriend’s S is due to be delivered to Portland this weekend, and they said they ship them to Seattle first. You might get to save a few days of transport time.

My estimated delivery date is also on my birthday! March 23 though. Crazy.

Try Progressive. I had Geico previously, and they tried to charge me $1500 per six months. Progressive quoted $400 per six months for the same coverage plus a few extra options.

From talking to my DS, VIN date is kind of arbitrary. Production takes about a week (give or take), and then there’s about a week for delivery depending on where you are. So if you work backwards from “mid March,” they’ll probably start production late Feb or early March.

I just looked on the website, and it now says “late May” as a delivery estimate for new Model X orders.

Yeah, especially since the average according to the delivery spreadsheet is more like 53 days. Not the case anymore

I ordered on 1/8 and don’t have a VIN, but I asked for an estimated delivery date due to some vacations I have coming up, and got a date of 3/22. My boyfriend ordered a Model S on 12/5 and his delivery date is 3/1. He didn’t get a VIN until a couple weeks ago.

I thought I read somewhere that you can’t be an Uber/Lyft driver in a Tesla, so why do you want to do this again?

The “Birds Eye View” was super helpful in my RAV4. It basically showed a view of the top of the car and all surroundings, which made it really easy to back up, park in tight spots, etc. I bet Tesla could easily create a program to splice all of the camera views together to create something similar.

How helpful are the Delivery Specialists during first inspection? Are they typically just rushing to get you through the process? Also, how flexible are they if I find things a few days after delivery once I’ve had a chance to drive around for a bit?
