    Supercharger - Cheektowaga, NY

Navigation still indicates this supercharger is out of service but it worked fine when charging just now. I charged at station 1B and was getting 202 kW on a Raven Model X. So I would assume at least that bank of 4 chargers is working.

New design - With no stalks how do you change directions or signal?

There will be a normal round steering wheel option. There was a hidden image on the tesla website found by user u/tdoesstuff on reddit. Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/teslamotors/comments/l6oyhn/refreshed_model_sx_will_have_regular_steering/

Acceleration numbers on MX Raven Long Range...

Thanks for sending this to TFL. They did mention that they checked "the forums" so I bet they saw your link. Very good point about the 1ft rollout. That would account for the difference in times. As for the SOC, is it possible Tesla keeps power constant rather than current with the Raven...

Acceleration numbers on MX Raven Long Range...

TFL posted an updated video that covers this. They tested it in STANDARD, LOW, and VERY LOW. This video answers the question. Test setup Ambient temperature: 39° 250 miles of range (roughly 75% SOC) 0-60 times Standard: 5.45 seconds Low: 5.10 seconds Very Low: 4.77 seconds Would they have...

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

Did they tell you what the issue was? Was it just a matter of getting the road force down to a low number? Tesla Service road force balanced my tires but they set one to 180° of where it should have been. This caused road force to be over 50 pounds (max spec is 30). Later I took it to Discount...

Acceleration in Raven Model X slower than advertised.. Any explanation

Do you have a Dragy? Please try VERY LOW, LOW, and STANDARD to see where the break point is. I know you can set a Model X to always stay in Low but is there a way to default the suspension to Very Low? If the Very Low setting is required to avoid reduced power you may have to manually select...

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

I'm sorry but I had to laugh. This was me a few weeks ago after the service center balanced my tires and claimed the vibration was gone. As soon as I pulled on to the highway I felt the vibration exactly as it had been. I just yelled FUUUU***** and was sad. These vibration issues are maddening...

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

I am impressed that they actually diagnosed and solved the issue (mostly). Your persistence paid off. It sounds like the Tampa service center is one of the good ones. How much did Tesla Service charge you for the above work? Did you buy the extended warranty on your 2013 Model S P85?

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

Wanted to give an update on my Model x vibration. Just got it back from the service center. They just said everything is in spec and normal and didn't attempt to actually diagnose it in any way shape or form. Prior to this I had several coworkers and friends test drive the car to prove that I...

Acceleration numbers on MX Raven Long Range...

The Fast Lane Car YouTube channel just posted a video about their slow 5.5 second 0-60 Model X Long Range Raven. Exactly the issue OP was having. Tesla should let people know about this. Car reviewers are just going to show the car doesn't perform to spec. Just to be clear you have to be in...

Acceleration numbers on MX Raven Long Range...

Is this a known issue across all Model X Long Range Ravens? I feel like it is kind of a big deal to not get your vehicles full acceleration unless you manually put it into very low every time you get in the car. This reminds me of having to put an ICE car into sport mode every time you get in...

Persistent Vibration 41-44 mph and again at 83 mph

I have a similar issue to what you describe in my 2018 Model X 100D. I understand what you are dealing with. It's not shaking the wheel violently so it is hard to diagnose. The vibration I have is like holding a cell phone on vibrate all the time at any speed over 30 mph. Usually theses sorts of...

    Tire selection for Model X

Krazak, thanks you. I hadn't realized that. 255 is actually a better width for a 255 rim according to this chart from Tyre equivalence: Car tyre tips - Pneus Online I think I will go with some Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 tires in 255/45R20 front and 275/45R20 rear for my new set. Rim...

    Tire selection for Model X

I was also looking at getting Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 tires for my 2018 100D Model X. But I also have 265/45R20 front and 275/45R20 rear. As Krazaak said the 265s dont have the proper load rating they are rated SL while the 275s and 255s are rated XL. Can you install a 255mm wide...

    Yellow ring around Main Display?

The yellow border issue appeared on my late March Model X 100D about a month ago. My X was one of the first to be built with MCU2. I was going to wait until my 12500 mile service to have it fixed but if the screens are back ordered for months I will get put on the list now. Thanks for posting...

Steering Wheel Vibration is Driving Me Crazy – 2018 Model X100D

If you haven't already try changing the steering mode in the settings. In the menu its located under Controls->Driving->Steering Mode then you can select Comfort, Standard, or Sport. In my opinion there is a significant difference in feel between Sport and Comfort. Hopefully that changes the...

Steering Wheel Vibration is Driving Me Crazy – 2018 Model X100D

Yeah I feel like that would explain what is going on and how it started suddenly. When looking st the tires I can't see anything like that with my eyes but even a very small variation can cause the vibration I'm feeling. I think I've exhausted all the self-diagnosis I can it's time to take it...

Steering Wheel Vibration is Driving Me Crazy – 2018 Model X100D

The nearest SC is about 200 miles away hence my reluctance. I did need to use the service for an MCU issue and they were super easy to deal with but it's just kind of a pain by nature of the distance. I agree I would rather have them work on the car than a normal tire shop. Thanks for the...

Steering Wheel Vibration is Driving Me Crazy – 2018 Model X100D

I tried an experiment with the tire pressure. The tires were at 45 psi from delivery. They would typically heat up to 48psi. I tried lowering them to 40 psi cold which warmed up to 44 psi during my test drive. The vibration is still there. Maybe slightly better it's hard to say. The tires...

Steering Wheel Vibration is Driving Me Crazy – 2018 Model X100D

This is what I am most afraid of. I wonder if there is some sort of NVH engineering tool to stick on the steering wheel to measure this effect. They could measure it on a couple vehicles and compare so they have a metric to tune the car to. What is the age and miles on your X? When did the...

Steering Wheel Vibration is Driving Me Crazy – 2018 Model X100D

Did you try to have Lexus fix it? How did that go? from everything I've read it sounds like Tesla will fix these issues if you are persistent. Let me just say that the first two months before this issue started happening the car was amazing you could not feel how fast you were going no matter...

Steering Wheel Vibration is Driving Me Crazy – 2018 Model X100D

I fixed the liner with a ziptie on the missing fastiner and reattached the existing fastener. The vibration is still there. Maybe slightly better but could be my imagination. Thank you for the comment. It gives me hope that it will be back to normal at some point. How bad was the...

Steering Wheel Vibration is Driving Me Crazy – 2018 Model X100D

I was just looking at the tires again to see if there is anything obviously wrong and I noticed that the wheel well liner on tth passenger side is loose. I'll have to figure out how to reattach it and then do a test drive to see if that is the issue. Could a loose liner cause a vibration?

Steering Wheel Vibration is Driving Me Crazy – 2018 Model X100D

This vibration has a significantly different signature and it is more constant. I did turn off the lane departure warning for now just in case.

Steering Wheel Vibration is Driving Me Crazy – 2018 Model X100D

365gtb4 and jbcarioca thank you for the responses! I will see if someone can look at the tires and maybe do a road force balance. I hope Tesla has a deal with a local metro Detroit tire shop. Shipping the care down to Cleveland and back (200 miles) would be such a waste in this situation...

Steering Wheel Vibration is Driving Me Crazy – 2018 Model X100D

My March 2018 build Model X was absolutely perfect and drove like a dream for about two months and 4000 miles. Then I noticed the steering wheel constantly vibrating while driving on the highway. It's noticeable at 60 mph and gets worse up to 80 mph+. It’s not violently shaking like a major...

Vendor Dashboard for Tesla - the better app for your Tesla

I am having the same issue on my Model X. Speed clocking no longer works. Speed and instantaneous power no longer show up in the map either. This has happened since version 2018.18. Can anyone verify that these features still work? Is there a known fix to get speed clocking to work again? I...

    Model X Garage Fit

I just had two LiftMaster 8500Ws installed in my garage for this exact reason. They really open up the garage and are much quieter than the overhead units they replaced. One door has the opener mounted on the left and the other is mounted on the right. I highly recommend these side mount...

    2018 Model X Build Quality

Just took delivery of an early March build Model X 100D. I went through the inventory checklist and found none of the issues listed. Doors were aligned well, FWDs didn’t make any creaking noises, seals looked good, no noticeable panel gap issues, leather was in excellent shape, no ghosting on...

Model S/X deliveries with Intel-based MCU

Ordered on January 6th confirmed on the 9th. I received my VIN in the middle of January. My production start date may have been pushed out since I am located in the Midwest. Have you heard if you have the new or old MCU?

Model S/X deliveries with Intel-based MCU

I have found this thread very helpful and informative. I wanted to add another data point for those interested. My DS just notified me that my Model X does indeed have the new MCU. It has the lowest VIN I’ve seen posted here with the new MCU. Model X 100D with the new MCU VIN 883xx Build...
