From 340xi to Tesla dual motor Model 3 - mini comparo.

I've noticed the same "springiness" issue with my 3D. It's most noticeable when the car comes unsettled in a corner due to an uneven road surface or entering the corner too fast. I'm blaming the under-damped shocks and hoping Koni or Bilstein come up with a solution soon. In the meantime I'm...

P3D vs RWD / P3D vs AWD (handling, suspension, and balance)

I can't wait for Koni to come out with a set of Yellows for the 3 as the stock shocks are very much under-damped for my taste. I should not feel the car bouncing when it becomes unsettled in a corner. Nothing else to indicate the shocks are bad as the ride is very refined on Seattle's pockmarked...

My Model 3 Got Wrecked Today :(

Going 100+ in that tunnel is crazy... It's a high speed bend but you can't see the end. I hope the police catch the M3/M4 and throw the book at both of them. It'd be sweet justice if Tesla's cameras were able to ID the BMW. Glad you and your family are ok. Hopefully Tesla gives you priority on...

WA State EV Sales Tax Exemption Updated

Nice find! It increases the eligible base price and includes used vehicles but will mean more vehicles counting toward the 10,000 vehicle cap. Might ultimately mean an extension of only a few more months. "Retail Sales and Use Tax. The sales and use tax exemption is made permanent and is...

WA State EV Sales Tax Exemption Updated

The original legislation drew from the multimodal transportation account and this new bill was only intended to remove the 7500 vehicle limit and replace it with a hard deadline (June 30, 2021), thus the funding source remained the same. The sponsors acknowledged they were tempted to make...

WA State EV Sales Tax Exemption Updated

You'll have to watch the linked video from 31-Jan-2018. It was voted on by the House Transportation Committee (20 for, 4 against) and sent to the greater House with a "do pass" recommendation. Assuming the House approves then the Senate would have to do the same before the governor signs. It...
