I'm guessing they also updated the firmware at the same time, right? I had the inverter repair too but until the firmware update, the problem was still there.

Today software update 2018.4.9 700fb88 was pushed to my vehicle. I am not certain it's gone, but it appears that the high pitched noise may have been stopped with this update. Anyone else noticing this?

There's no light on the side view mirrors, which would obviously be preferable to the small indication you see on the screen for objects in blind spots. I am wondering if at some point there will be a software update that perhaps gives some audible indication that object is spotted in blind...

I asked Tesla about the 'suspension service' for early VINs and they said that no such program exists, and that newer Model 3's have exactly the same suspension as the early VINs. If anyone owns a car where the suspension was actually replaced I would love further details!

My early read is that my power efficiency has increased after the PCS upgrade.... feels like I am averaging more like 200-225 wh/mile versus 270 wh/mile before. However, I am not certain of this yet.

My VIN (I had the recall) is 13XX, so I'm guessing in some earlier range. @lunitiks, they told me the internal price of the repair over the phone, it wasn't on the invoice - just listed as warranty repair.

Again I was told it would be a firmware update. It sounds like they didn't make that claim for you...which makes me think it won't be a firmware update......

I took my car in and they replaced the "Power Conversion System" as a recall. It took a couple of days for the part to come in and one day to do the repair. In total the covered warranty cost was $1100. They did not elaborate on the reason for the repair. Just that it was needed.

I wear Eargasm noise filter ear plugs (they are not true ear plugs, they just reduce noise so they are legal to drive with). Helps a lot with both wind noise as well as this sound, so I'd recommend that as an interim step...

My average is about 265 wh/mile so far over 500 miles, with aero wheels. I'm wondering if it's going to turn out the 19" wheels get better mileage? The small sample here might suggest that.

Regarding the auto tint rear mirrors, Tesla has informed me that a software update is forthcoming which should address this. I'm assuming that the driver will be able to control the level of auto tint, or at worst they will set the default to less tint.

I just confirmed that, per your experience, on my car the sound gets louder when I switch the lights from "auto" to "park". However, I can still hear it when the car is in "auto" mode. Oddly, it in some ways gets more annoying when it's quieter. (Again I have tinnitus at about the same...
