Have you chosen the payment method = finance or cash? That would seem to stop your VIN being assigned if you have not committed to the method of payment.

I had something like that in my Dec ‘23 build. It was eliminated by putting a couple of winds of gaffer tape around the catch for the rear seats. Presto, gone!

Reading through the relevant posts on this forum, that seems to be the consensus.

MSLR SG/Blk 19” FSD transfer. Ordered 2.7.24. Received VIN 3.1.24. Scheduled delivery 3.8.24.

I paid using Plaid. It’s the authorization to remove the funds as quoted and approved from the designated account. In my case (Dec) that was done the day after I drove home in the car.

Obviously don’t live there.

Perhaps you shouldn’t plan on driving anywhere near Los Angeles. You may get a ticket for that even if legally parked at a meter on the street. Ask my wife. After the second one she put the front plate on.

#2 - Visit and order the 2024 MSLR from a showroom so there’s a real human to deal with and fill out the doc for FSD transfer ASAP. IMHO they’ll honor the FSD transfer as long as the EDD is still listed as Feb/March. $12k ain’t pocket change. Once it changes to April the deal is off.

Not a stupid question. My FSD transfer doc only required filling in the two VIN numbers (in my case the RN), my signature and name. I printed it out, filled it in, scanned it and returned it.

A few days after ordering I received a text from my SA requesting that I sign the FSD transfer document that had been sent a few days before. I had not completed it because of the field that required a VIN number of the car to which the transfer was being applied, which has yet to be issued...

Ordered wife's MSLR on 2/7, three days after the FSD/FUSC transfer was announced. Difficult to imagine that the transfer would not be honored if DD is after 3/31 as circmstances are beyond our control. Haven't heard a peep from Tesla since the signed FSD transfer documents were returned.

I charged my 12/23 build MSLR to 100% last week during a trip to Palm Springs. 405 miles. I prefer to use percentage rather than mileage range. Much more precise and practical IMHO.

So how fur did your last one go? My 2018 went pretty far but the 2023 certainly goes farther (apologies, my mother was an English teacher).

There are spaces in the FUSC agreement to input both VIN numbers (coming and going) so you must at least have those before signing and returning.

Love the yoke too! However I must disagree with your assessment of the build quality. My 2023 MSLR is a considerably better build than wife’s Model 3 Go-kart is good analogy. Model 3 has me feeling the road. I don’t wanna do that. YMMV.

Just completed a long ride in friend’s late 2023 M3. Certainly better than wife’s 2018 M3 but road noise was significant and obvious compared to my late 2023 MS.

I had a 2018 75D until Dec. In anticipation of future problems I traded up. New S is a completely different and improved car in so many respects. Very glad I did.

Keep the FUSC. Electricity rates will only increase.

I agree there will be no massive interior refresh as past history reveals regular unannounced incremental upgrades, some larger than others. Another reason the value of older cars is maintained.

Wouldn't concern myself too much with that. Scottsdale is not in CA. More than likely yours made the cut. It's another refresh, hopefully one of many more unknown to come, employed to further perfect Tesla's creation. Glad to enjoy the ride.
