TACC is twitchy as hell now with this update. Constantly on and off with acceleration and braking. I had to turn it off, it was literally making me motion sick. It was so smooth before, now it seems to constantly accelerate and then brake hard, then accelerate, then brake hard.

I'm over 4 hours round trip from a service center, so I generally get mobile service only if things crop up.

I haven't gotten any updates to my S since 2018.49.20. Is there a way for me to request an update somehow?

Fixed. You forget that all AP2/2.5 cars before 2/28/19 also have all those features too.

My 2012 mercedes is still not fixed and is expected to have "parts available" in June of 2019. The whole recall is taking everyone forever to address.

I have seen at least one tesla video where it detects cross traffic blowing a red light, does the "beep beep beep" and hits the brake only to have the car it detected from the side come flying into the intersection and hit someone else, missing the tesla.

I have xpel stealth and my installer wrapped the edges. There are only a couple tiny areas that are not wrapped.

For what it's worth I used it just fine through the back driver's side grommet.

You can use polyethylene tubing to run the cables, like what is used for aquariums RODI water systems etc. Dirt cheap and you probably only need about 6' of it. 1/4" Mur-lok Polyethylene RO Tubing

My Bluetooth for phone calls doesn’t work since the update. People can hear me but they don’t come through the speakers at all. Volume is up. Tried re-pairing no dice.

So the model 3 (which have MCU2), and MCU2 model X also do not have AM. So, AM is going away it seems altogether on teslas.

I have premium sound. I’m pretty sure MCU2 model S don’t have AM.

Maybe it's an MCU2 thing. I think all Model S MCU2 do not have AM radio.

March 1 2018 build. I have glass roof. I can turn off HD and that's it. I can't do AM.

My 2018 model S does not have AM. They got rid of it I think in the last year.

Interesting that the dual motor model 3 has one induction motor for performance. :)

I’d have to disagree. But maybe I’m missing specifics of what makes the model 3 more “advanced”? That’s not how I felt after driving both. The battery maybe. But not the motor as we discussed earlier. The motor was chosen primarily because it was cheaper.

Also the data Edmunds posted on their test model 3 was only 83.3% charge efficiency. Makes me think that the M3 doesn’t have the same charging hardware etc. Which would make sense. They have to cut corners to make the car cheaper.

The shorter the charge time the less loss. I misquoted the RI*I thing. It’s vampire losses. The longer you charge the more energy you lose to coolant pumps, fans, etc.

The efficiency is from charging at a higher amperage, since the energy loss is given by the integral of the resistive loss (RI*I) over the charging time. I'm not sure I follow what you're asking.

Model 3 road noise is louder for sure. Can tell a decent difference between my MS and my friend's M3 when riding around.
