Tesla recommends cleaning and lubricating all brake calipers every 12 months or 20,000 km

Thanks for the suggestion. That's definitely an option. I've seen one youtube video where they chiseled it apart and used vice grips to pull it out afterwards (plus the pin punch). Thanks, Cal

Tesla recommends cleaning and lubricating all brake calipers every 12 months or 20,000 km

Thanks, that's the next step. Never heard back from Tesla, so I just might pickup an extra pin just in case.

Tesla recommends cleaning and lubricating all brake calipers every 12 months or 20,000 km

So I got a quote from the Lawrence Service Centre regarding my stuck pin on the right front brake re: post #85 $385 + tax... to remove the pin. It's $175 to do the full brake service x4 calipers. And to remove one pin on one caliber (which is part of the $175 service) is $385+tax. They...

Tesla recommends cleaning and lubricating all brake calipers every 12 months or 20,000 km

Hi Garth, It has only seen one winter, the other 3 pins came out ok with a bit of coaxing (6-10 whacks).

Tesla recommends cleaning and lubricating all brake calipers every 12 months or 20,000 km

I did mine last weekend following the tips from the Rich Rebuilds video from post #4. Went smoothly except for one brake pin was seized. All the other pins came out easily. But the front passenger bottom pin wouldn’t budge. Tried penetrating oils (of course cleaned up after). Just wouldn’t move...

Costco 3DMaxpider floor mats for model 3 gone?

Not to hijack the thread, but Costco.ca is now selling white label tuxmats as "Phantom" mats for $199 +tax. I bought a set for my wife's car and they're definitely tuxmat, shipped by tuxmat. The silver badge says "Phantom" but the driver side embedded Tuxmat is still there. The ordering...

Who has lost regen with winter tires?

Thanks Mike, I've very interested to know if 44.1 helps. Even if it does, Tesla Service doesn't seem to want to push firmware out anymore. It'll come when it comes.

Who has lost regen with winter tires?

Add myself to the list. I just got my winter tires on Monday in Toronto. 3rd party alloys (~22 lbs each) Michelin X-ICE 235/45R18 Version: 42.3 It was ~ 5C when I got new winters on the car. The car had full regen when I got to the tire shop and full regen when I left. The moment I released...

    V9 imminent?

Ive Tony, Did you purchase Autopilot? I’ve been in contact with the service and, as mentioned before, in the thread they weren’t aware that Canadians without early access received the v9 update. But he mentioned that the S / X vehicles which received the updates first had EAP enabled.

    Tuxmat Coupon Code Share

Hey all, when I ordered mine, I actually reused a code that was already used. Not sure if it was a bug, but for those waiting give it a shot.

Ceramic Coat a new Model 3?

Glamisduner, if you have the option to return I probably would. My understanding as per the video you embedded and what I've read it's easier to apply. I just applied it to my Model 3 this last weekend. The hardest part, as with all things is the prep. The one main tip that helped me from...

    Canada - Model 3 - Wifi update - anyone?

I had issues w/ Bluetooth (the car would forget all the phones that were enrolled). I called service (Toronto Lawrence) and they pushed (took 2 hours after the call) the 28.7 update which should address some Bluetooth issues. All good so far.

    International Centre delivery experiences

My experience yesterday was great. They were quick an efficient. I was in and out within an hour. I arrived 2:50pm for my 2:45pm. They said I was already checked in... I walked around the area for about 5 mins before the "paperwork" person found me. Took me to my car, took a picture. I...

All cars at the International Centre will have the Front License Affixed

Thanks Cory, that's great news, as my bracket is actually here in hand. Glad to hear that they're responsive if you can show that you have the intention of putting on the front plate.

    GTA Delivery Date Waiting Room

Very bizarre. I had a call from the DA on May 4th. Started shopping for insurance. Checked today and my VIN is gone and I'm back to a Reservation Number. I've sent my DA an email to see if anything has changed...
