    Cybertruck is a scam.

Latest plot of RNs that have been invited and ordered CTs over at CTOC
  2. J

Anyone with a lower RN# than me?

I'm tracking stats over at CTOC and here's a chart of the RNs over time. There definitely seems to be a lean towards people who ordered FSD in 2019 (people likely to buy the Foundation Series). My res is RN1127446XX and I didn't get an invite until I entered my location information in my online...

    Cybertruck is a scam.

Not true. I charted some of the data over at the other CT forum and it does appear apart from a few outliers, they are largely sticking to the first order tiers and seem to be specifically choosing those early orders that opted for FSD in 2019. Notwithstanding the limited sample size of people...

Just received my new car without ultrasonic sensors

Incorrect. I have a 2016 Model S and Model X with AP1 and they both have the following features: Lane Departure Warning Forward Collision Warning Automatic Emergency Braking Obstacle-Aware Acceleration With 12 USS, 1 radar, and only 1 camera this system performs better in 95% of situations...

Air Compressor Replacement + Air Line & Air Shocks inspection DIY

Following other threads and now this one. I have the "Air Suspension Adjustment Is Not Available, Car May Not Be Level" message which happened during a long distance drive thru a snow storm. Is it possible that just emptying the system and recharging with Nitrogen is an option? I noticed in...

"Air suspension compressor disabled" to be fixed in software update?

Very helpful post, despite all the mostly negative experiences people are having. I'm a DIY'er and just replaced 2 struts and control arms on my Model S without issue, luckily didn't have any errors or problems after. Then today I get the "Air Suspension Adjustment Is Not Available, Car May Not...

    Cyberstream center caps

Curious how much it cost for these caps (set of 4). I am looking at some Cyberstreams online but they don't come with the caps. Cheers.

20” Cyberstream Wheels on Model S

I also wanted to buy a set of these and did a quick photoshop from the images on Tesla's website, doing my best to center and overlay the rims exactly as they are pictured from the website Model X image onto the website Model S image. With the right tires I think these will fit with no problems...

Road trip range anxiety is still a thing?

I hear you, there are some really nice roads that can't be driven thru. In areas that are "off the beaten path" I'm usually leaning heavy on RV Parky and staying in those areas, and not really driving thru them. I think someone else did mention 50 thru Nevada which is one I'd like to drive as an...

Road trip range anxiety is still a thing?

Just turned 200k miles on 2016 Model X. It's crazy to see that most chargers are only 120-150 miles apart when those gaps used to be 170-200 miles. Makes this old Model X still capable of road tripping. The pace of a road trip in it is insanely slow now, because some gaps require 100% charge on...

MCU1 owners: what should we expect from our cars?

At no point in my 2016 MS did I feel like they owed me some level of performance in the MCU. It was slow from day one compared to other touch experiences, it's never been fast. It wasn't until I had a Model X with MCU2 that I saw the difference. The reason to upgrade to MCU2 is the functional...

Anybody have a Front Lip spoiler?

UPDATE. I live in CO where the weather can get pretty extreme (cold and hot). The spoiler I chose cracked in several places over time (from winter collisions with ice/snow/road debris) and I removed the remaining parts of the front lip spoiler. I think if I didn't drive it with reckless abandon...

Road trip range anxiety is still a thing?

Great suggestions. The 20% to which I refer is the 20% over whatever Google says a trip might take in drive time. Apologies for the lack of clarity. It definitely doesn't compare the time one might add compared to an ICE car (snacks, food stops, etc) as it isn't really relevant to me anymore...

Road trip range anxiety is still a thing?

Can agree with this. I have family in Northern Idaho and the highway from Baker City, OR to Lewiston can be annoying but I make it in all but extreme weather. Usually I'll just take on the 45 mins and go to Pendleton if I'm worried. I do agree that something in the middle of Idaho around...

My used 2013 P85 came with unlimited supercharging

Check my post here: For those with free unlimited supercharging... I have a quick and dirty way to check the highest probable indicator you have Free Unlimited Supercharging that is transferable. Cheers!
  16. J

For those with free unlimited supercharging...

It's convoluted, but from what I understand every car that took delivery before Jan 15th, 2017 should have transferrable free supercharging. But here is the convoluted instructions that can help, and here's a walkthrough for ease of access, but not a guarantee. Step 1. Sign into your Tesla...

To MCU2 or not to MCU2?

When I did the upgrade 2 months ago, it was treated as a "service" and located in the mobile app: Service.> Request Service > Infotainment > Touchscreen I just added in the details that I wanted an upgrade from MCU1. Cheers!

To MCU2 or not to MCU2?

Politely disagree, it's not just entertainment, you get improved map performance and voice command speed. It's night and day. You also gain newer features with the maps such as waypoints. It's like a $50 Android Tablet vs an iPad in terms of responsiveness. Everyone will have to decide whether...

To MCU2 or not to MCU2?

I upgraded to MCU2 after buying a used 2016 Model S (wanted the free supercharging again) and now the car feels new again. Got used to the faster speed and features like faster voice commands and newer map features (waypoints etc) of a 2020 Model 3 that I returned waiting for the CT. it was hard...

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

For myself From my own experience it is a nice to have for areas that do have CCS and I don't want to charge slowly on J1772 (Canada was ahead of the game on public funds for free chargers but they all seemed to be J1772). But I road trip a lot, and having every available charge option is...

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

To my knowledge that is the reason. There is no safety device that holds the adapter to the charge cable, they just click together. if you pulled the cable out of the adapter while charging it could short something in the car, or shock the life out of you. I don't think Tesla fighting it has...

Road trip range anxiety is still a thing?

Happy road tripping and thanks to anyone who shares their trips, experiences, and observations. I was meandering around TMC looking for info on the CCS1 charge adapter after an interestingly inefficient charge situation in Pueblo, CO, and the forum kept suggesting all these road trip threads...

    Setec CCS to Tesla Adapter

Just bought one of these off eBay after spending a couple days in Pueblo, CO with no level 2 charger. Like another user, I have the "Charging adapter has electric arc flash hazard" warning but it's still charging (75A, 400V, 79% SoC). 2016 Model S 90D, Tesla firmware v11 2022.12.3.2 on upgraded...

Anybody have a Front Lip spoiler?

The more subtle front lip from China (3 piece "carbon-fiber-esque") arrived. Here's pictures of it fitted up temporarily with double sided tape with a mild attention to alignment. Tried to take pictures similar to the angles of the more aggressive lip in this post. Not sure which one I am...

Strong advice :) it was taped just to show fitment. Did you end up installing yours permanently?

Anybody have a Front Lip spoiler?

Inspired by some of the photos on here and not too keen on the pedestrian front of a Model 3 (came from an S), I purchased one of the 3 piece "carbon-like" eBay front lips. It's just tacked on with some double sided tape with moderate attention to alignment. This is the more aggressive of the...

    My order and delivery experience

I've noticed that people with aspirations for the performance models are getting vehicles in less than a month. Did you contact anyone about existing inventory? I'd be willing to take something off the lot if I can get it in less than 30 days. Cheers! (Also in Colorado)

Need help testing charge cable and port in WA

I'm on a road trip from Denver to Seattle (currently in Lewiston, ID), off the beaten path. Either my port or my cable is wonky, it drops to 30amp and/or stops frequently now. I had some supercharger issues early in the trip when it was 0°F but those seemed to resolve after it warmed up. Road...

Anyone Else Have Bluetooth Issues on the Newest Model S Update?

Thought I was going crazy, experiencing the same issue for the last month or so. I've also tried all the pairing/unpairing, absolute volume disable, checking apps one by one. Definitely a Tesla issue. I don't have problems with my other car, friend's car, or headphones. Killing me.

    Quick road trip thoughts

When I go on road trips (200k miles in less than 3 years across 2 cars) we usually add 20-25% time "penalty" to whatever Google says the trip will take. Range being dependent on time of year/weather/mountains/etc.

AP2.X/3 *STILL* hasn't surpassed AP1.0 for lane changes

Ha, now you have just segmented my statement with some bs irrelevant to my claim. Since you are terrible at debate, and since the OP shared an opinion and didn't ask a question, I'll bite... Given the statement: "It has everything to do with AP. AP2+ cars are missing the rain sensor..." Please...

AP2.X/3 *STILL* hasn't surpassed AP1.0 for lane changes

Not trying to pick a fight, more informative for people who might be considering a used AP1 car. It has everything to do with AP. AP2+ cars are missing the rain sensor on the premise that a "smart" rain detection system with the camera is better, when in fact AP2+ cars have no alternative to...

AP2.X/3 *STILL* hasn't surpassed AP1.0 for lane changes

AP1 cars here, lot of misinformation in this thread. I'm not sure what mechanism is detecting rain (camera?) But both the X and S definitely have a rain sensing wiper system on AP1 cars. It's also listed in the manual (and with lines on the stalk), with two modes: low and high sensitivity...

Model S Refresh coming in September. What about X

The 2020 Roadster prototype only has a center screen and a small strip which appeared to have speedometer and a clock maybe. I'd settle for a slightly thicker strip of minimal gauges.

Very disappointing first week with Model X

Was looking for any new fixes for the half shaft shudder and ended up on this thread. 2016 Model X90D with 95k miles. We've gone thru three sets and are on the 4th. Obviously out of warranty, but they did replace the current set on the house, I think that was around 70k miles. As others have...
