Supercharger - Surrey, BC - King George Blvd

This pretty much solidifies Surrey as the Tesla capital of BC with so many charging stations, a delivery center and service/sales center. I agree though, another Supercharger in Cloverdale would be a great addition.
  2. W

    Supercharger - Surrey, BC - 104 Avenue

In my opinion, for ease of accessibility and quick charging while road tripping from Vancouver to east bound, this Guildford Village Supercharger would only be good during maybe 8am-10pm to be safe. The Abbotsford Supercharger is tricky to find if you've never been there. Chillwack Supercharger...

    Supercharger - South Surrey, BC

And 24/7 access! Unlike the new Guildford 155/104 under Save-On Supercharger which is not open 24/7.

Supercharger - Montreal, QC – Rue Viger

Is this a gated parkade? Is there a certain time limit where you won't get charged, like under 30 minutes? I've done both ways where there isn't a gate and i go and charge and scope around for the parking attendant (downtown Vancouver) and going into the parkade, grab a quick charge and leave...

    Supercharger - Clearwater, BC

The Tesla CCS-to-Tesla charging adapter is coming. That would definitely help as there is Petro Canada CCS stations in Blue River and Valemont already. But Tesla's game is ultimately an energy company. Latest programming updates show charging for non-Tesla. Either Superchargers (in North...

    Supercharger - South Surrey, BC

Agreed. I give it 1 year before expansion. Surrey Guildford Mall went from 12 to 20 in a year, but then they had immediate congestion @ 72kW Urban Chargers.
  7. W

    Supercharger - Surrey, BC - 104 Avenue

This segway should be in a South Surrey Supercharger thread. That said, there are no locations off King George that can hold 20 stations. They would probably be 72kW if there isn't enough capacity for 150kW. 250kW would not be possible as 20 stations, at least, would be required for the area...
  8. W

    Supercharger - Surrey, BC - 104 Avenue

Wow this is great! Thought they'd get Surrey Central going or South Surrey before increasing the capacity in North East Surrey. Hopefully the parkade is not limited access. At least it's out of the rain! 😆
  9. W

    Supercharger - Merritt, BC

Hopefully they don't close down the 8x 150kW chargers behind the Best Western. Unless BW got annoyed by the number of Tesla owners just walking in to use the washrooms! 😆
  10. W

Supercharger - Hope, BC - Klassen Road

From the conditions around the current Hope BC site and the super easy access to this new one, I would guess the old site will be closed down. More than likely, the old site will be re-developed by the property owners who probably wanted it back. The 150kW chargers at the old site were never...

    Supercharger - Osoyoos, BC

Honestly, Osooyoos is the location outside of the Lower Mainland most people are looking forward to. It's a very popular tourist destination and the local municipality recognized the value of adding a Supercharger in addition to other fast charging. Even if hadn't before planned on stopping...
  12. W

    Supercharger - Princeton, BC

You can cheat by picking the next closest SuperCharger. It should start pre-conditioning unless you are too far away. If I'm running a little low, I don't target the next SuperCharger until I'm close enough to conserve energy to get there and if it's not too cold. If it's hot outside, I don't...

    Supercharger - Princeton, BC

I've been to and stayed at the Kelowna SuperCharger (behind Best Western Plus). Current Taxi (taxi company) does take up several spots a lot. But then if you've been to Kelowna during traffic... yes there is traffic and slowgoing... And for those who don't know, West Kelowna is it's own...

    Supercharger - Osoyoos, BC

Princeton is under construction now. Osoyoos should be next!

    Taptes Model 3 USB Hub

Hey guys, before y'all get your panties in a bunch. What do you think of this? Do we take Tesla down for ripping off Jeda/Nomad/etc (first generation non-landscape option)? Who came first and why haven't they sued everyone else (unless you don't have a leg to stand on)? Model 3 Wireless Phone...
  16. W

    Supercharger - Abbotsford, BC

Very true. Depending on how cold it is, that 110v 12a might only be enough to keep the batteries warm. I found out the hard way at work where I found an outlet. Plugged in and was so happy to get 7km/h right away. Later I check and it was 0km/h. I go out to check and everything is fine, but it...

    Supercharger - Fargo, ND

I'd have to disagree. No way they'd let Canadians from Prince Albert, SK come down to work on US SuperChargers. Even if Elon has dual citizenship with Canada/US citizenship! LOL
  18. W

    Supercharger - Richmond, BC

I was there last night. No lights on the pedestals yet.
  19. W

Supercharger - Portage la Prairie MB

    "Burger Kind".... LOL
  20. W

    Supercharger - Abbotsford, BC

Merritt is the next SuperCharger after Hope, BC. Surrey, BC SuperCharger is west of Abbotsford,BC. There is a ferry $$$$ between Victoria BC SuperCharger (72kw UrbanChargers). Tsawwassen SuperCharger (at the Mall next to BC Ferries) is a better start for continental Canada travelling.
  21. W

    Supercharger - Richmond, BC

I haven't myself. In most cases I leave home topped up every day 90% SoC with LR battery. That being said, technically to park the wrong way... you'd have to drive facing the wrong way on the wrong side of the road anyways.
  22. W

    Supercharger - Richmond, BC

There are curbside FLO stations in Kitsilano. Always interesting when someone has to park the opposite way to charge their car... Google Maps
  23. W

    Supercharger - Winnipeg, MB

You may also find out the Prairies may have these things called BLOCK HEATER plugs that amazingly look like 110v outlets! So they can at least keep your battery warm while plugged in (if the plug is active).
  24. W

    Supercharger - Richmond, BC

Tesla should work out deals with businesses, condo parkades and townhouse complexes to provide a few spots for superchargers and equipment. Tesla provides the equipment. Spot owners recoup the cost of the electricity. Tesla get the markup over the cost of electricity. Spot owner and Tesla split...
  25. W

    Supercharger - Richmond, BC

Right now, Surrey (Guildford) SuperCharger (12 stations) is the busiest in the lower mainland on a regular basis. Even though they are only 72kW Urban Superchargers (the smaller ones without the hole in the middle). Richmond SuperCharger will easily become the busiest unless maybe the upcoming...
  26. W

    Supercharger - Winnipeg, MB

"All" TransCanada and some Provincial Highways at least are getting V3 250kW for quicker stops as you travel along them. Most of the city ones have either been Urban 72kW or V2 150kW. North Surrey got 12 Urban 72kW. Even Blaine, just south of the border for 8 x V2 150kW, but it's less than an...
  27. W

    Supercharger - Blaine, WA

Yah, don't need 250kW cuz it's not gonna make the border lineups go any faster!
  28. W

    Supercharger - Winnipeg, MB

No worries. By next summer the SuperChargers will be done. Could also pick up the Chademo adapter as Petro Canada, Canadian Tire and some hydro (like BCHydro) are installing cross country too.
  29. W

    Supercharger - Winnipeg, MB

I left.... ain't never coming back. LOL However... I've been patiently watching as the build-out throughout eastern AB, SK and MB has been progressing. Tesla EVs really make you want to road trip and go visit. They can make road-tripping 2400km from Vancouver to Winnipeg so much cheaper for a...

    Supercharger - Blaine, WA

Just a year ago, the Tswassen SuperCharger was THE only SuperCharger around Vancouver when I got my Model 3. Had to use it for my first week before I got my home HWPC installed. Yes it sure was out of the way! Now there are 4 (2 downtown, Tsawassen, North Surrey) around the Lower Mainland and 2...

    Supercharger - Blaine, WA

There are a LOT of people going to Canada, Americans visiting (1.00 US$ = 1.33 CA$ so why wouldn't you?) and Canadians coming south for Seahawks/Marininer games or their nice Washington properties :-). Lineups can be hours long to get over the Border on a regular basis. Blaine/Birch Bay makes...

    Supercharger - Vancouver, BC

If you are ACTIVELY watching for the parking attendant to come by, then NO don't pay for parking and just unplug/drive off soon as you see him. Regardless of SuperCharger (networked), Urban Charger (networked), or Destination Charger (non-netowkred = free). If the parkade is not gated, drive on...

    Supercharger - Surrey, BC

I think wherever they install the White Rock SC, that would definitely be the full size 120kW chargers. Probably along the Hwy 99 (WA-US I5 North converts to BC-CA Hwy 99) going to Vancouver, in the South East Surrey versus people going to North East Surrey to Guildford Towne Centre. The "pink...

That's fantastic! Please share your results and thoughts on the trip. How the car handles and the charging stations. I was going to take a trip in August to Vernon, but it got cancelled. I had planned on hitting Hope, Merritt and Kelowna, for about 15 min each rest break.

Sooooo everyone is out enjoying their Model 3's? I've racked up 5,000+km in 5 weeks. A tank of gas gets about 500km @ about $100 per tank. So I've saved $1,000. Which means, like me, everyone is out having fun!

The most Model 3 that I have seen in a day is 5, and that's all in South Surrey. I was at Tsawwassen yesterday, by Forever 21 entrance, using the free charger (tap your FLO card) and a white Model 3 was parked next to me.

I had a situation last night where I was waiting at the airport cellphone parking lot for an hour. When it came time to go... The car wouldn’t recognize my phone! It kept asked for the key card or to turn the Bluetooth off/on on my cell phone. I rebooted my phone and I rebooted the TM3 screen...

I will also be there at 4:00pm! I got my docs emailed to me last night by the DA, doesn't show online. It includes the $5000 CEV taken off along with the $1000 reservation & $3200 deposit, total $9200.

I wonder how late they work? What are their hours of operation over at the PNE Forum for Tesla? What’s the latest anyone left after picking up their car?
  42. W

I just saw another truck this morning just after 8:00am northbound on 176 st & 24th in Surrey! Probably going to Hwy 1 then to the PNE. Lots of red! My pickup is Friday so it’s prob one of them!!!

Well, when Las Vegas first called they said my car would be here June 4 and I needed to get everything done. Forms, uploads, etc and finances. Finished everything Saturday and my ISA called Sunday morning to confirm my delivery date for Friday June 8.

I'm curious to know too. Can we just get a temporary license and then take it to our regular insurance guy? FYI, the ISA couldn't enable a trade-in so she asked for info and pictures and she sent me a trade-in appraisal. Couldn't give the the Tesla financing rates unless I actually applied for...

I was fine for what Tesla offered. $17000 for a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe with very low mileage. A friend looked it up on auctions and saw what dealers paid for similar cars, which was $15000. So a little more but then add 15% since you won’t be paying that tax off the full price. The equivalent of...

Say my first Model 3 in the wild tonight. Around 7:15pm tonight headed south on 168 st and Highway 10 in Surrey. It was a midnight gray.

Because the trade-in less GST/PST would reduce how much I have to pay them, I would think.
