Question between 2022 MSLR and 2024

Thank you. Appreciate those details. Yes the brand new Model 3 is incredibly smooth. Clear difference from a 2020.

Question between 2022 MSLR and 2024

I currently have a 2020 Model S Long Range Plus, has a magnetic motor in rear so it might be the Raven. Anyways, today I drove the brand new Model 3 (the one with the with new headlights / tail lights) and holy cow it is such a better drive than my current Model S.. Less power for sure, but...

Be careful with Vossens. I have the the HF3 and they bend EASILY. You hit a few potholes and suddenly your smooth ride is a permanent bumpy one. If I were you I would buy 100% forged wheels. “Hybrid forged” doesn’t mean much.

Model S Aftermarket Wheel Fitment/Offset Discussion

The second I lowered my Tesla, all of the cameras needed recalibration. And I have adaptation suspension.

Model S Aftermarket Wheel Fitment/Offset Discussion

Yes, it is true. The Tesla software already accommodates for the different levels of air suspension. The second my Tesla was lowered, the cameras needed to be configured over again.

    Show of hands… Adaptive Suspension

You notice the difference when the Model S is lowered. Mine is on lowering brackets and comfort mode feels like it slowly surge up and down for a quarter mile after a bump, where as sport mode it’s a harsher bump feel and then it’s over quickly. Much stiffer.

Prediction: Model X price will be reduced to $78K in January 2024

But inflation has flattened out lately and the last decision by the fed was to halt the rise of interest rates. I see interest rates being stagnant through 4th quarter and then starting to drop in Q1 and Q2. Once interest rates start cooling off, loans and big purchases start rising, which means...

New to TMC and would love feedback on ordering a Model S Plaid

    1) I don’t think HUD is a Big deal being without. 2) I have 21 inch wheels right now - they’re hybrid forged (not fully forged) and I’ve bent the hell out of all of them this last winter in potholes. So it’s the last time I ever go with 21’s and it’s the last time I ever buy non-forged wheels...

Tesla drops prices on X/S $20k. All colors free. Bye bye resale

In what way? Tesla has dropped prices on all of their models. Main reason is to keep volume of sales up while interest rates are high and the fed is trying to cool off big purchases and financing. There is absolutely nothing indicating that the S or X are phasing out anytime soon.
  13. 8

Tesla drops prices on X/S $20k. All colors free. Bye bye resale

Won’t happen. The S is the “trophy” performance model to exhibit the company’s technological capabilities. Like the NSX with Honda / Acura. The GT-R with Nissan. The Supra with Toyota.

Prediction: Model X price will be reduced to $78K in January 2024

But I doubt the official 2024 models will have absolutely no change at all.
  15. 8

Prediction: Model X price will be reduced to $78K in January 2024

But Tesla couldn’t care less about customer’s used resale value.

I have a 2020 long range plus (Raven) as well. Going to either trade in or sell privately for a plaid. Are you selling yours privately? If so, what are you thinking you’ll get for it?

Model S Shows Its True Colors (Photos)

I’m on my 4th Tesla. I’ve had Three Model S and one Model X over the years. The one color I think was the best and Tesla should have continued is Titanium. 😍😍😍

From 17 to 23 S with FSD Transfer

I don’t understand why everyone is so high about FSD? Form every single video review I’ve seen, it is still not even close to 100%: it misses turns sometimes, doesn’t pay attention to right turn only lanes, along with also having to touch the wheel every 20 seconds. I really don’t understand...

    “Slip-on” Spacers

The car mechanic I went to did it for me for my spacers. It’s so that the lugs on the spacers can fit inside of the inlets of the wheels. Grinded off about an inch.

Model S Aftermarket Wheel Fitment/Offset Discussion

On top of that, lowering your Tesla throws off the configuration of your cameras and renders them completely useless unless recalibrated. That’s why I’m getting my lowering brackets removed next week.

Does it rub at all? I have 15mm and it’s lowered too. I rub sometimes.

    “Slip-on” Spacers

I have 15mm wheel spacers on my Model S Long range+ …Haven’t had any issues at all with them. If I were to change anything at all with my setup, I wouldn’t have also lowered the car. I rub often. So now I’m getting my lowering brackets taken off next week.

Tesla drops prices on X/S $20k. All colors free. Bye bye resale

Yea, all of those Model S that dealerships have are going to collect dust. None of them have reduced price. There are some USED 2022 Model S for the same price as a brand new Model S from Tesla. Lmao.

Looking for really low offset 20 inch plaid wheels that are very light and efficient. I know that Unplugged sells sets, but they’re $8k and you can’t choose the offsets… Any ideas?

Questions about purchasing my first Tesla

Yea you’re not understanding what I’m saying. Yes, you can charge your car to 230 miles at 100%… BUT, the normal recommended charging is to charge to 80%, otherwise you are killing your battery if you’re charging to 100%. That said, 80% of 230 miles is 184 miles. Then you take real world...

Questions about purchasing my first Tesla

Mine? No I have a 2020 Model s Raven. But one of my previous Teslas was a 75D and the range was horrible. Also, if you were charging to 80% which is what is recommended, then your car would be at 184 miles. And then real world range of 184 miles is around 150. So I’m actually spot on by saying...

Model S/X minor refresh coming soon?

Good point. But what do you mean that the car is carrying much more tire?

Questions about purchasing my first Tesla

75d?? I wouldn’t. The range on that thing is terrible. Plus combined with the 6 years or so of battery erosion, it’s even worse at this point. Spend the extra money and go with at least a 100D A 75D is “260 miles” on paper brand new. Actual miles + degradation after 6 years = about 150 actual...

Model S/X minor refresh coming soon?

But you’re also burning through tires pretty quickly. The last tires I bought for my Model S Raven were supposed to be a harder rubber, but only lasted 13k miles.

Model S/X minor refresh coming soon?

    Also at $130k… 😳😳😳

Model S/X minor refresh coming soon?

I’m curious. You only went with a Plaid because of the speed, right? I currently have a 2020 Model S Raven, and I’m about to buy a 2024 long range, but I just never understood the trade off of longer range only to gain +1 second with 0-60 with the plaid. What are your thoughts?

There could be some changes with the new model year. It’s why Tesla has heavily discounted the 2023 model, for new 2024. But sometimes with a new year come some minor changes.

Model S Aftermarket Wheel Fitment/Offset Discussion

I’ve got Vossen HF3. +30 and +38 on rear. On lowering links as well. After this photo I also added 15 mm wheel spacers. So, yes it rubs now and then. Only thing I would have changed is not lower the car, then it wouldn’t rub. Should have just played with the adaptive suspension.

21 inch tires over 25k miles?

I have 245/35/21 and just finishing up about 15k miles on my Hancooks V12’s. Was wondering if anyone has experience with any tires getting over 25,000 miles? I know there have been a lot of new tires on the market the last time there was a thread about this.

Lowering a Model S with adaptive suspension?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I think Unplugged does in fact make the lowering brackets for a 1 inch drop now and I think I’ll be doing this. I’ll post some pictures when done. What are you driving now?

New Model S wheels don’t fit fender

The wheel offset on earlier Teslas (before 2019) with 21 inch wheels were much more flush and had no issue when hitting bumps. I’m just wondering if anyone knows of any company that sells wheel spacers that would fit a 2020 or 2021 Models S
