    Supercharger - Schertz, TX

Not true, I-10 Leon Springs is under construction. See Supercharger - I-10 Leon Springs, TX. Apparently using foundation structures and equipment tagged for Katy.

    Supercharger - Leon Springs, TX

It means the accessibility review of the construction plans is complete. When the construction is done and the accessibility field inspections are done the status will become "Project Closed". Which means the project file has been closed.

    Supercharger - Sealy Texas

Anybody attempted to get look at the site? With the 3/6/2020 completion date mentioned in the permit filing, they need to get going.

    Supercharger - Lafayette, LA

The big nameplate... Post DC output: 250 KV... I'd say confirmed V3 installation.

    Supercharger - Lafayette, LA

This label is from the currently installed equipment (the one previously shown under wraps, photo taken Sunday, 12/29 ). Additionally the Electrical service connections, electrical disconnect and meter can also appear to be installed on a unistrut rack near to the second pad south of this...

    Supercharger - Sealy Texas

Not sure why this got logged as having 10 stalls. There is nothing in the TDLR record online that gives a stall count. I see ReadyLeaf's point about a semi-SC. That would be an interesting development.

    Supercharger - Leon Springs, TX

I think not V3, my understanding that V3 comes in modules of 4, though I could be mistaken. Still trying to determine the ratio of charging cabinets to charging slots that differentiate an Urban from a V2 or V3 SC. I'm open to being educated.

    Supercharger - Sealy Texas

Been to Alex. LA, can't compete with BR (hard to compete with stocking up on The Boot at Trader Joes) but Alex. is several steps above the Columbus, TX SC.

Another find on the TDLR website TDLR TABS - Project Details Project Name: Tesla EV Charging Station Installation - Leon Springs, TX Project Number: TABS2020005402 Facility Name: H-E-B Grocery Location Address: 24165 I-10 #300, San Antonio, TX 78257 Location County: Bexar Start Date: 1/2/2020...

    Supercharger - Sealy Texas

Small (6 Chargers), slower than most, frequently ICE'd, hidden at the back of the Holiday Inn, a trek to any restaurant with no sidewalks on a heavily trafficked street, low (i.e. it will flood). The restrooms at the Holiday Inn are good though. Basically the worst supercharger location I've...

    Supercharger - Sealy Texas

Found this online record TDLR TABS - Project Details The TDLR website is where one registers a construction project for accessibility compliance, a required precursor to applying for construction permits valued over $50K in the state of Texas . Address: 6701 US Hwy 90 Sealy, TX 77474. Location...

Supercharger - Scott, LA (Lafayette Parish)

Was not aware Hammond had been moved. Laplace would make sense from a roadway standpoint, being at the intersection of two interstates, but I'm not sure it has the shopping and food infrastructure to fit with Tesla's siting criteria. Think of the LC, BR & now Lafayette Superchargers and their...

Supercharger - Scott, LA (Lafayette Parish)

You never know who you will run into while at the BR supercharger... or what they may show you in the course of friendly conversation. There was a second location on the I-10 corridor. I did successfully guess the City name, it was not New Orleans. But since I gave my word I would not divulge...

Supercharger - Scott, LA (Lafayette Parish)

Confirmed, Lafayette you're getting a supercharger! Louisiana Ave. @ I-10. Saw it in a Tesla document on 4/1/19 (its real, not a late April Fools joke). Am not at liberty to divulge how or from whom I gained this insight, at their request. But since the 811 ticket has been found, I can confirm...

    Autopilot bug with lane change

Yep, ^^^ this^^^ has to be OP's issue. IT is not a bug. Trial was EAP, bought AP. AP does not do lane changes. Turn signal cancels lane keep.

How do you keep your Model 3 exterior clean?

Watching... Ceramic coated and still pitted.
  17. hmerrill3

Supercharger - Scott, LA (Lafayette Parish)

Watching... This would be a good location to fill the gap between B.R. and Lake Charles. Plus its easily with M3 LR range from Houston.
  18. hmerrill3

New Owner: Range, Charging, Will This Scenario Work?

Got a 15-50 at my place. The charging connector has been unplugged from the wall exactly three times since we got the car on September 1st (trips from Houston to Dallas, Baton Rouge & New Orleans). While on the road it was used only twice (110v charging). It's really slow but if the car isn't...

Supercharger - Scott, LA (Lafayette Parish)

That would be great, I found both LC and BR to be wicked fast. Scott would allow only one charge between Houston and BR and leave me plenty of charge in reserve to tool around the city.

Answer is something between Maybe and Most likely. Enter your VIN here Delivery Receipts - United Road and see if you can find its last location. United Road does not do 100% of Tesla's transport so it possible it may not show up. If you read back through this thread you will find...
  21. hmerrill3

Supercharger - Scott, LA (Lafayette Parish)

Watching... If true this would be a great location and at 216 miles from Houston an easy reach for a LR RWD M3. Will be a great addition to the SC network allowing access to points south. Any idea if these will be high amperage version 2 chargers or urban chargers.

    Model 3 Software Updates

Downloaded 2018.42.3 eb373a0 overnight, installed this morning after the drive into the office. Release notes indicate drive on nav (not tested yet), enhanced regenerative braking (confirmed on LR RWD). Parking after returning from lunch, car offered to do it for me as I was halfway into the...

Or you could add the car to your insurance one hour before your delivery... print out the proof of insurance... and then have the delivery center make a copy of it. Only to have then lose it... and contact you 45 days later asking for updated insurance information because your "delay" in...

    Texas Hold Up!

Some things in your post make no sense, cracks in windshield, roof or rear glass panels would not allow water leaks to enter the car. These are all laminated glass panels and it takes a large about of force to produce an actual hole that could pass water. Now a structural glazing sealant failure...

    Texas Hold Up!

Advancing this to the top of the list... Sorry for the long post but this should be helpful for those just finding this thread. The "typical" Tesla delivery sequence is generic and does not apply to Texas in my experience. The sequence should be: Order Prepare for Delivery (indicate payment...

Take the temp off and flip it over, there should be a second thirty-day temporary plate there. Texas registrations for new Tesla’s appear to take longer than 30 days so they planned ahead (imagine that).

    Texas Hold Up!

Skip the ISA, call the SC directly, tell them when you are available for pick-up, that way it will be worked around your schedule and will likely occur faster. Don't understand why ISA's are involved with final delivery scheduling when direct SC to customer communications would be faster and...

    Texas Hold Up!

Have seen no evidence that cars traveling from CA to TX via truck come by any other means than via UR. Not saying it doesn't happen, just no hard evidence that it does. However, have strong evidence (my case) where a car came from rail jail to Houston on UR w/o it showing up as being in transit...

    Texas Hold Up!

"The lady doth protest too much, methinks" All joking aside, if I understand your situation correctly: You have ordered an AWD configuration that is clearly not a popular color, so much so that Tesla is going to stop taking orders for it. Which likely has influenced the fact you don't have a...

    Texas Hold Up!

Could not agree more regarding this statement. A little less than 2-weeks after delivery, you will receive an email survey from Tesla. Make sure you lavish praise where it is warranted (the car is amazing) and constructive criticism where it is well deserved (as I did). I made it clear that...

NEMA 6-15 on existing 14 gauge wire

In other words, to answer the OP's question directly, NO. If you have to change the breaker and wiring, you are not saving anything. I'm not an electrician, but I'm unsure that 14 gauge wire is rated for the continuous load your car is going to draw.

That is really ODD, Pier 80 is a pier which handles autos transported via ship. I would assume most likely in-bound import vehicles. Unlike the Richmond terminal, there are no associated rail auto-transport facilities close by. While I guess Tesla could be looking for big empty lots to stage...

^^^ This^^^ Doubt ISA has any control of this, but as proven by many, currently the fastest way from CA to TX service centers is by truck
  40. hmerrill3

    Texas Hold Up!

You would need to get that from your ISA, but as I tried to communicate, I don't advise that process as it appeared to slow the entire process down and I spent $$ on expedited postage that were wasted because the payment portal opened before my check arrived.
  41. hmerrill3

    Texas Hold Up!

Dump the ISA and call the Service Center Directly. Unless that have some issue with the car they will be eager to move it out (they need the space). If you let them know your ready to take it and are flexible with the schedule I suspect they will work you in. Good luck, you will love the car...

If yours is an all-cash deal, based on my experience wait for the online portal to open to make the payment. I sent a cashiers check before the portal opened and the payment was never posted so my only account showed I was unpaid all the way until I took delivery. After many phone calls I got...

Edge of rim, not the cover. Was being too aggressive whipping into a parallel parking space. There is a two coat paint system on the rim, grey over a black primer. Wish I didn't know that.

Congratulations, so glad to see this. Finally, after such a long and tortuous road to get here. Glad to have been a little helpful in the process. Texas Hold Up!

The quick deliveries once vehicles arrive at SC from rail jail (less than one day in my case) coupled with 12v batteries being fixed in jail, makes me think there may be some QAQC work being done in jail to relieve some of the load off the SC's.

My signature has been updated with the pertinent dates. I've got a 7/18 build but I have no idea whether it is an early month build or a late month build. Your build date (Month/Year) is on the driver's side B pillar. My 7/23/18 full payment was based on a VIN that they later took away. Which is...
